I would not buy this if some one recommended it to you cause they are fan boys and don't care about quality
I started reading this knowing nothing of the author till after I finished and I had no idea what was going on. The story is so over the place I couldn't follow it at all. I had myself and my wife read the characters lines like a play to see if it would sound right and it was a train wreck of just jumping around and what seemed like whole parts of the conversation are missing. Art is good but nothing new or unique like he claims.

Very enjoyable
Pros: The artwork is fantastic! The pacing is also good, and keeps the reader interested in what's going to happen next.Cons: LOTS of grammatical errors. The characters, while charming or interesting in their own ways, aren't terribly original. Lastly, a lot was thrown at the reader, but the details weren't really expounded upon. To be fair, though, this is only the 1st volume, so I look forward to the characters and their individual stories being better fleshed out.All in all, I give it 4 stars because it's obvious the author has a passion for this story, and put a lot of effort into it. With a little cleanup, Apple Black could be amazing, and even with its current flaws, it's still solid enough that I've purchased volume 2. Can't wait to read it!

A great work!
I found Saturday AM by accident and learned about Apple Black. Easily the best art of any of their franchises, which immediately grabbed my attention. I wanted to read online at first but there's nothing like having a physical volume. I def wanted to support this artist, if you listen to his story and see his work you can tell how much heart and hard work this artist has put into this. Gotta love that! Im still reading vol 1 but I'll be reading the series until it finishes, let's have vol 3!!!

Good read, but buying a book from amazon was a terrible experiance
it is a good comic/manga. I enjoyed the story and it's exceptional art work, though someplaces are a bit difficult to read through the panels, there are quite a few typos, and some esoteric references without an explanation. I however despise the format and know that amazon has had books disappear from owners libraries more than few times, this problem needs to be remedied before I invest in another book from here and an option for .pdf format. I had difficulties reading the book and couldn't get to load into the library on several devices after I bought it, I finally got to read several weeks later after I borrowed a kindle.

Great Art, Wordy Dialogue
I didn't want to review Apple Black without finishing it first, but the book is hard to get through. The beginning has excessive dialogue (and monologue). It sets up the backstory and world but it does more telling than showing. Ironically, one of the characters in the book say "Show, don't tell". The story has more action and interest as it goes along, but if I'm being honest don't I look forward to reading it right now. I hope the ending evokes intrigue and a desire to read Volume 2.

Very cool I would recommend for sure
I love the art style very much, I think the characters and the story are all interesting so far. I was also surprised to see how high the production value of the book itself was and the pages and drawings coming from one person. The cover art is nice and the book itself is larger than most manga which is also nice. It actually feels like a respective manga. My only problem with the book is that more often then I would like to admit the pages and images are so close to the seems that I would have to angle the book in a specific way to see them or over extend the pages just to see the pictures. Some of the pictures were so small next to the seems I couldn't even make it out completely, which is quite annoying at times. But other than that good job on the book and good luck.

Very cool...looking forward to the next one
What can I say about this one except truly exciting. I have been subscribed to Whytmanga for a while and have seen tibbits of this, but never got around to purchasing it until now. I was glad I did. It's well written and very well drawn. I am always looking to support traditional artists (which I am myself) so I will continue to support him if he keeps pulling out great stories like this :)

Anyway my brother used to watch him pretty religiously and I also became a fan pretty quickly
I first learned of the author of black apple from my brother who's an aspiring manga artist, as I was once too but ultimately decided that my talent was well suited to story writing instead. Anyway my brother used to watch him pretty religiously and I also became a fan pretty quickly, as I always admire self taught manga artists. Once I heard that a physical copy on black apple was being release, I immediately was interested in purchasing it and I must admit that he did a fantastic job. Here's hoping that a volume would also be released.

Superb!
I loved this book from start to finish. Does anyone realise the creator is in his 20s? I like it even more knowing he started out as an amateur and has come so far. Roll on volume 2! Ps I totally disagree with the negative comments
