One use only. DO NOT BUY
Terrible quality. Ist time use, heated up to 200c over 4 hours and it created cracks and split right threw. Can actually see cleanly threw 1side to the other . One use product only. Refund needed

Game changer!
Bought these a wee while ago and been itching to try them. Heated them for first time as per instructions today and have just eaten the best steaks we have ever had in our lives! Absolutely amazing! Blocks flavoured it so well and cooked as we each chose. Great quality, really speedy deliver. All round 10/10

Good price, though not a huge fan
Compared to other salt blocks available at the same size, this is a good deal at £20. It came in a super protective box which meant there was no damage in transit, though as this is a natural product the surface was not perfect so expect some chips and imperfections.Heating the block for the first use was easy, though worth noting at the highest temperatures it did warp which meant it no longer made perfect contact with my electric hob. It would probably work better on gas. During cooking it holds a temperature well, though I did not find it gave a great sear despite this. Cooking on it was a good experience though, however after cooking the block stays hot for a VERY long time, and I found as I was unable to clean it right away due to the heat, so the fond left on the stone burned and smoked which was not great. Even after it cooled, cleaning was not easy and basically its now permanently blackened on top.Overall, it's fine as a salt block, but salt blocks are not for me.

Well worth the effort
A great gift for the dedicated foodie. Not likely to be something you'll be using daily to cook on.Not the easiest or quickest method of cooking. The block has to be prepared before use, this takes a few hours.Once prepared the surface is ready to cook on.I use mine on a gas bbq where the heat is more easily and quickly controlled, it works perfecly, but still requires a little care.It seasons the food exceptionally well as it seasons throughout the cooking process.Fish and seafood are lovely done this way, as of course are meats. It is a bit of a gimmick, great for 'show' cooking, but the results are good.
