I have a few barrels from this seller. Both the 5 liters sealed well, including this one. I like the look of the unfinished wood and rings, but I wanted to try a ReCoop version, and those all seem to be varnished. I'm going to be aging the same whisky in this barrel and the unfinished version at the same time to see if there is any difference.

We ordered this for a gift but it arrived late so we returned it. It looked super nice so I wish we were able to gift it

We followed the directions to the T and it still leaks. My husband had stood it up and it still leaks now we must try and stand it upright because he’s trying to save what he’s been aging inside. I really wish this would’ve been a good product because we put a really important recipe inside and now it could be wasted. Can’t return it because we ran out time . My husband thought it needed more swelling time but it was hopeful thinking

Got this for my husband to age some tequila. He followed all the instructions for prepping the barrel for use and had absolutely no issues! No leaks! He is loving the flavor and wants another one to try a different alcohol. I looked at a lot of barrels and went with this one. Make sure when you look for a barrel it's actually charred on the inside! Spend the money and get this one!

I got lucky, mine had no leaks whatsoever, I've only had it priming for a day, but there's not even a hint of leaks. You can visually see the tightness of the wood, very well built. I'm gonna let it prime for another day or two and clean it put. Excited to see what comes of it. But I must say, even for the quality of the built, 90 dollars is still a bit steep. Ill try to get 5 liters of clear to age, 5 liters of young bourbon, and I'll make 5 liters of old fashions. After that I'll clean it and treat it real good and age some wine in it for a week or two. We shall see what comes of it. I'll update review accordingly.

I did everything according to the instructions and this thing leaks like an open faucet. I can turn my faucet on into the fill hole, and it never fills due to leaking . Poor quality, and a horrible performance.

Bought this to make barrel-aged Old fashioneds as Christmas gifts. The end product is super tasty and worth the effort, but make sure to fill it with warm water first to prime it, and have beeswax on hand to seal leaks.
