Bought this as a replacement for my John Deere L145 ride on mower. This is a genuine replacement that is supplied from a genuine JD agent/ repair company. I know this because I had a technical question and spoke to them on the phone. They were very helpful on the phone and helped me sort the problem.My only slight disappointment was that it does not come with a new key. The description does not claim that a key comes with it but that would have been a very nice touch. However this was not a major problem because I spotted this and ordered the key separately from Amazon and this also came from the same supplier.No hesitation recommending this.

Exact replacement for dead switch
Does not include key but it wasn't advertised to include a key. I had the old key which worked. Something to be aware of if you don't have the old key.
