Revised review from 5 stars to 2 - saturated with oil that is difficult to remove: 2 updates
My original review is below the ~~~'sUpdate June 2020 - Finally enough oil has been drawn out of the strap so that I no longer need to roll it in fresh newspapers to absorb the residual oil.Overall this is a good strap - very comfortable, high quality appearance, high quality sewing and cutting. Certainly worth the $20 or so that I originally paid for it. I have several straps and was able to use others while I waited on this one to finally give up the excessive oil.Update Jan 2018 - I am still not able to get the excessive oil out of this strap. I have rolled it up in fresh newspaper and paper towels and compressed the roll 7 times now and it is still leeching oil. If I had known how much of a problem this was going to be I would have purchased another strap. Now I'm going to have to just go ahead and do that.September 2019I am downgrading my review because the strap is still wicking oil or an oil/wax product out of it. The oil gets on my hands, my clothes and my face (I hate this). I have since rolled the strap up in layers of newspaper in an attempt to draw out the oil yet after 3 separate tries the oil still saturates the news paper. My hope is that I can remove enough of the oil to make the strap usable for me.~~~~~~~~~ Original Review ~~~~~~~~~I just received the strap and gave it a close inspection. It is made of leather, stitching and an adhesive between the top and bottom sides. It comes in a handy cloth bag that I will definitely use to keep the strap in when it is in it's case.It is well constructed and easily adjustable. The only issue is that the slots for the buttons on the guitar were a little small for my instrument. I had to increase the length of the slit.Instructions to increase the length of the slit.1. Tools: sharp knife and cutting board. I used a kitchen knife.2. Place the end of the strap flat on the cutting board.3. Position the point of the knife approx 1/4 inch past the end of the slit. NOT THE HOLE.4. Push down firmly on the knife until it cuts through the two sides of leather.5. Test fit the strap on your guitar. If it fits wipe off the cutting board and knife and put them back where they belong. If it doesn't fit, repeat the above, increasing the slit by about a 1/4 inch each time.

Good for acoustic guitars, not good for electric guitars
These are properly priced for a light leather product. I can recommend this for acoustic guitars that have the top knob behind the guitar body, but I cannot recommend them for electric guitars which have the knob in the end of the upper body to the side. Reasons are as follows: First is the wide end of the strap is really wide and second the location of the initial hole is way far from the edge of the strap. What this causes is an undesirable placement of the leather over the neck. First, being so close it actually reaches into the neck. Second, because it is so wide it obscures visibility on the strap. I am tempted to try and both round up/cut the shape of the head, then sew the seam to make it stable as well as open and reinforce the hole. The width of the strap and the material, however, make for a very comfortable strap. Finally, the leather is Ok, but I am concerned about how much will it last.In the end, I got two of these, and one of them is already not in use being replaced with a more appropriate strap.

Great strap--comparable ones available elsewhere for twice the price
All leather, fine workmanship, very durable, will last my lifetime. Yes, it has a slight leather odor, which is entirely what you want from real leather! Not too oily as one person complained. Creative attractive packaging. No PU as others falsely advertise. Its real thick leather and needs to be broken in a little, as noted by others. Not padded like others more expensive, so if you want glove leather or thick padding for a really heavy guitar, not for you. I bought it for my Gibson J45 and it is just long enough (tall guy) so measure if you or your guitar are big.Very sturdy solid holes. Gorgeous tanning, goes beautifully with the rich mahogany of the Gibson.Cannot beat it at this price point. I've tried.

Great Value! Great Looks!
After a long search I settled on this strap for my new PRS. It looks amazing and is very comfortable and super sturdy with doubled leather. There was a bit of oil on the strap, as others reported, which has been absorbed or evaporated after a few weeks after wiping down. Also the color of mine was slightly darker than the picture. The minimum strap length in the description is wrong. You can probably get it down to maybe 36 inches. I was hoping that the specs were wrong and I was right, I have mine adjusted at about 42" and it works fine.If you are looking for a nice looking genuine leather strap at a great price you have found it.

A beautiful leather guitar strap
This guitar strap is the real deal. First of all, it is REAL leather, with a real leather smell, but it is also soft and comfortable. I appreciate the extra width of the strap, which adds to the comfort, and helps keep the guitar from sliding around. If you let go or shift your grip, the guitar stays right where you left it, unlike nylon, polyester, or canvas straps. The workmanship of this strap is superb. It looks like it came from a shop that makes fancy shoes or belts. Did I mention the price? Don't tell the guys who make this, but it's too cheap. If you are in the market for a new guitar strap, (and like the color and design), you cannot go wrong with this one.

Colors will vary
I would have given this five stars but I didn't get the color I wanted, which is the color tan in the picture. What I got is chocolate brown. Nice, but not what I wanted. Otherwise, this product is very good. Nice supple leather, double layered, finish side on both sides. The edges are double stitched, very nice. Others have complained about oil and chemical smells, mine had none of those problems. I did go over it with saddle soap to remove anything like that. I'll keep it, the brown color is nice but not what I wanted but I can live with it. I would order from this seller again.

Great guitar strap
I bought one, loved it, and then bought another! They spread the weight of an electric guitar very comfortably across my shoulder, and my Les Paul is very heavy. A great strap, particularly for the price!

Nice strap. Great value
Nice soft leather. Really comfortable and well made. No problem fitting over normal strap buttons and long enough for use on my jumbo acoustic. Arrived much earlier than expected by FedEx, which was a nice surprise as I believe it came from India.

Great strap.
I like to get a leather strap for each of my guitars, and I just got a new guitar (Stratocaster). This is a great strap - feels good, easy enough to set up, nice and sturdy. It costs a tiny bit more than some of the other ones, but seems well worth it.I'm looking forward to breaking it in ;-)
