Amazon Essentials Men's Long-Sleeve Flannel Shirt (Available in Big & Tall)

I wanted an oversized flannel and thought the small would be tight but it was perfect.The material feels thick, soft and very comfortable. Happy with the purchase.

I'll be honest, I am skeptical of buying any clothing online, much less flannel that can shrink pretty drastically if it's made with cheap fabric. Without being able to feel the material and try it on for size, I don't like being bothered with the hassle of returning/exchanging. But I took a chance with this one and I'm glad I did. It fits perfect, even after washing! It barely shrank in the dryer. Using low heat, it retained almost all of its length.SIZING: These shirts run large, so size down. I haven't been a small in anything in my adult life and I'm glad I read in the description that the model in the pictures is 6'2" and wearing a medium. I am 2" shorter so I ordered a small and it fits perfectly.QUALITY: This is a soft medium weight flannel that seems to be made of higher quality material. As I said, it barely shrunk in the dryer so that leads me to believe the cotton isn't cheap. The patterns line up on the seams and on the chest pocket.BOTTOM LINE: I would definitely recommend this shirt. For the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a better quality shirt than this. I was so happy with the fit after washing that I immediately went online and bought three more. When I find a brand that fits me well, I tend to stick to it because being tall and thin, buying shirts is a challenge. I've attached two pictures for reference to length. They were taken after its first wash. I am 6' 165lbs. and I have a 32" waist and I'm wearing a small. I hope that helps

The best flannels I have ever purchased, I purchased off Amazon this year for my brother for Christmas! It is difficult shopping online for flannel button ups because you can't see them and feel them in person (maybe I'm just super picky!). This is a perfect material--it is soft, thick and cozy without being too warm or being too thick that it is uncomfortable around the neck and under the armpits. It washes very well and stays soft. Looks great buttoned up or unbuttoned, it's a fantastic layering piece. The colors are vibrant & the plaid print stays sharp enough even after washing (sometimes after washing flannels, they end up becoming "fuzzy" from the cotton piling & the color and print fades, but have not had this issue with these). I love these flannels so much that I want to buy them in smaller sizes for myself!

This is an excellent shirt. The texture is a brushed, soft finish that is very comfortable. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 190 pounds with a somewhat broad chest. A medium fit me well to provide a slim, well put together look without looking or feeling tight at all. The hem of the shirt hits just below the opening of my front pocket on my jeans. The armholes are tailored a bit higher than you would find on a "work" flannel and are more consistent with a dress shirt style. That isn't to say that this flannel is restrictive in any way. It is comfortable with enough room to move around and do any routine tasks. I probably wouldn't wear this if you plan on chopping wood or doing something really upper body intensive though. The stitching appears to be solid but I will have to wear it for a while to see how it holds up over time. I am a bit disappointed that Amazon doesn't provide a fit guide or sizing chart for their own products. Those are very common among other brands and it would certainly help others feel more confident in their purchase. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual flannel that doesn't want something overly baggy or super-slim.***UPDATE***The sizing chart link is available on the desktop web interface of the site, however that link is absent on the mobile app (what I used to purchase the shirt).

The bottom line is that I plan to buy another in a couple of weeks. Also, I'll likely check out some of Amazon Essential's other offerings.I just got the shirt and tried it on. I should note that it's 100% cotton, and that I've not washed it -- I don't know how much it is to shrink.Pros+ Very soft, great for cold winter days -- really great feel!+ Sturdier than I expected+ Nice looking ( - BUT color isn't exactly as I'd expected as there is some green, which I can live with, just sayin')+ You can't beat the priceCons- I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs. I bought size large, and it seems just right. I do typically like shirts such as these to be a bit roomy (relative to dress shirts)Word to the wise to check the color on another device or in another browser. Again, I will be getting another, and I'm happy enough to consider buying some of Amazon's other clothes offerings based upon this.

The combination of an Amazon Essentials branding and the price tag of $18, I was expecting a nice, low quality shirt. Nothing spectacular, but at least utilitarian. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of the shirt was better than expected. The wool is very soft to the touch, and a noticeable thickness that doesn't seem to add to the weight. The buttons aren't as nice and rather small in my opinion (3/8" wide). I ordered a medium (typically what I wear), and feel the overall size is larger than a medium. The sleeves are long and the shirt length is also rather long (obviously intended to be tucked in). I tried it on and then washed in. Hoping it might shrink a bit (I wash and rinse in cold water), but it didn't in my case.All said and done, I'm like it and will be keeping it.

Soft flannel, so that's good. I like a boxy cut but this was too loose and too boxy. The shirt runs a bit long and I am six feet tall so must tuck it in. The non-flannel amazon men's shirts had a good fit but I think they went more baggy with the flannels. Would not buy more of them myself. Someone with a stockier frame might like these though

I'm 5 foot 10 and around 76 kg, beer belly is smallish, looks like I need to put more work in to my drinking. This shirt fits great - there is room for a more full-bodied gent than me but is not baggy - at least not overly so - flannel shirts are never tight fitting in my experience and this one fits that mould too. The material is really nice - sort of brushed cotton effect which makes it lovely on the touch and quite warm. It will protect against wind easily - you basically won't need a coat other than for show. The blue ombre plaid is a really nice colour - not quite navy blue darkness but still fairly dark. Best shirt I've bought this year - behind the blue/orange ombre plaid one I also bought...

This is a warm, thick cotton check shirt. Perfect for my current largely outdoors/ building/ off grid existence in a central Spanish winter. My sizing is large on a good day, and this has a little slack in it to be able to work whilst covering midriff and kidneys. Sleeves plenty long enough, though mine are always rolled up. Quality is high, given the price - up there with a similar shirt I have in style from Patagonia in terms of both material and workmanship. I will be buying more - in fact the wife insists on it so it stands a chance of getting washed before spring comes!

What a brilliant shirt,very well made, and nice and warm ,looks great next to a white t shirt,nice blend of colours,looks real smart, just love it ,only quibble is the length of the body ,you end up about 12" into your jeans, seems to be a problem with all shirts these days,ok if you are over 6ft tall,but I'm 5'5" . However it's a great shirt,and great service from the guys at amazon,they do a fine job,so thanks to all concerned,certainly a shirt to recommend

Hi. Lots of reviews on this shirt but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. First off, I'm very pleased with the quality, colour ( black watch) and comfort of the shirt. Why only 4stars.I'm 6,' 46" chest, athletic build. The shirt is a good comfortable fit , not too loose or tight. My only gripe is the waist size. It's a bit boxy and quite big round the middle. Ok if you have a belly, but I don't. Anyhow, my wife put darts in the lower part and it fits like a glove. Washes well too. The shirt is an XL and arrived very quickly.😷
