Classic Brands Decker Cool Gel Memory Foam and Innerspring Hybrid 10-Inch Mattress, Mattress in a Box, Twin

I bought one of these mattresses and a twin and I was a little leery about buying a mattress in a box but I am very happy with it so far it decompressed and expanded a lot quicker than the 24 to 72 hours that it suggests and the mattress seems to be very well made and very comfortable it's firm yet cushy enough to feel like you're sleeping on a pillow top with good support.

This is my first online order ever of a mattress as I was skeptical of ordering such a large item without being able to try it out first. After having done months of reading reviews on hybrid-mattresses in the same price range I decided on this one due to the relatively good reviews. Very, very happy to say this has been one of the best online purchases I have ever made!!!Delivery was pretty fast in just about a week. Unless you are super strong, the boxed mattress is quite heavy so you’ll definitely need 2 people to carry it. The mattress is wrapped in 2 layers of thick plastic. Once you take the first layer off, get ready because it will instantly puff up once you take the 2nd layer off. Within minutes, it will inflate to nearly its full size. There is a slight plastic smell but for me, this completely dissipated in just a few days. I opened it in the morning, went to work for 10 hours and by the time I came home it had expanded to a full 10 inches (*See picture. This is measuring from the puffed top of the bed to the edge and not just at the height of the edge itself. If you measure at the edge of the bed it will only be 9 inches high as the edge is tapered down.) ... Obviously the smell didn’t bother me a whole lot but obviously everyone is different so if you are sensitive, it might be better to let it air out a night or two first before sleeping on. After 3 days and the smell was 99% gone for me.Like many others, I was also really nervous if this might be either too soft or too hard to my liking. Or if I might be unlucky and receive a lemon (ie., damaged in delivery, not fully expanding, etc). Happy to report that I did not encounter any of this. Though the box arrived a little beat up, the mattress itself was unscathed inside the thick plastic wraps.*** Firmness Level?? -- I’ve slept on a box-spring mattress for the past 10 years and I prefer my mattresses on the firmer side. When I go to those mattress showrooms, the type of mattresses I prefer are usually the ones labeled “medium-firm”. I hate that sinking, heat-trapping feeling of full memory foam mattresses. I also do not like the feeling of pillow-top mattresses as they are too plush, again with that sinking feeling.To me, this mattress is medium-firm and exactly what I had hoped for! The top foam layers provide a nice thick cushion where you will not feel any coils but it has enough support that your body will not have that sinking trapped-in feeling either. If you like your mattress very super firm, this may not be for you. On the other hand if you prefer a sinked-in, pillowy-soft, body-hugging feel, this probably isn’t for you either. To me, this is a perfect combination of what I would call “cushioned firmness”.*** Motion-transfer? -- Movements like getting in and out surprisingly does not shake the entire bed. There is a slight bounce if you intentionally bounce hard on it but again, the mattress does a good job in absorbing motion which prevents the entire bed from shaking like jello. If you sit on any of the edges, the edge will sink down quite a bit and not hold up like a regular spring-coil mattress. This was the most surprising thing for me as I am only used to regular spring coil mattresses with stronger edges that hold up. … However, for me this doesn’t affect the usage of sleeping on whatsoever as I’m not planning to sit on its edges.*** Does it sleep hot? -- The covering of the mattress is made of a soft, plush fabric but so far having slept on it about 30 nights in midsummer June weather without any a/c, I have not had any of that “trapped heat” feeling. I use a Sealy brand waterproof mattress protector on it topped with a 100% cotton fitted sheet so I am not sure if it could be the type of sheet I’m using but my conclusion is no, it does not trap heat.*** Dimensions? -- The Queen size measures 60” x 80”. I am using this with a Zinus Arnav 10” high Queen Platform Bed Frame. I am really happy these two items of different brands fit each other perfectly like a glove!! Also note that this mattress can only be used / slept on ONE-SIDE and cannot be flipped to use the other side as only one side has foam padding. I love that there are two tabs sewn onto each of the long sides of the mattress which is a helpful addition when you need to move the mattress!*** Conclusion: The value totally exceeds the price and blew my expectations away!! I think this might be one of the most budget-friendly, medium-firm hybrid mattresses out there that offers superb comfortability and excellent quality!! Would buy again and definitely highly recommend!!!! If the quality or durability of this mattress changes for me in the future, I will come back to update! For now, I am a super happy, well-rested camper!!

It has only been about two weeks since we received this mattress, but we have found the previous excellent reviews to be accurate. I bought this mattress for my young adult daughter. She likes a soft mattress and has found this to be very comfortable. It feels firm with the coil underpinning, but sleeps soft. I have not slept on it, but the foam layer actually does feel cool to the touch. I plan to check this out myself one night to see if it actually does sleep cool, but my daughter is very cold natured so I wasn't really worried about this for her. The covering is very high quality and after removing mattresses without carry straps, I really appreciated them in getting the bed situated on the frame. It also arrived about a week earlier than Classic Brands indicated it would.I'm not sure if Classic Brands is packaging this differently than when the early reviewers received theirs, but we were really disappointed that we didn't get any of the excitement mentioned by previous reviews. The box was slightly damaged, but the inner plastic coverings were in perfect condition. It came with two layers of regular plastic covering and an inner, thick plastic that compressed the mattress. The shipping company would have to really abuse this box when shipping to get the compressed mattress dirty, in my opinion. We situated the mattress roll on the bed and then carefully removed the first two layers. That left us with the inner plastic that slowly unrolled until we had the compressed mattress flat on the frame. After cutting the thick inner plastic, the mattress slowly inflated. We were all standing around waiting for it to explode open, but all it did was slowly inflate. We were quite disappointed! Given how it was packaged, the only way I could see for any explosive openings would be if you quickly cut through ALL the layers at one time.The mattress was almost completely expanded within a few hours and by the end of 48 hours, it was completely reformed. I measured the height and it was a true 12 inches. If you measured right at the very edge where the seam is, it was slightly less, but if measured a little away from where the edge pulled the topper together, it was the full size advertised. There was a little smell that you often get outgassing from new textiles, but the smell was pretty much gone after a couple of days. I do agree that the purchaser should plan on the mattress needing two or three days before sleeping on it.If I had been willing to shop at several different locations, I might have been able to find a good mattress at a slightly cheaper price, but the ease of having this delivered to the door in a "small" roll was rather nice. Given the look and feel of this mattress, I have high hopes that it will last for a good number of years. We'll see.

Quality of mattress feels right for the price paid. Its quite thick. Used without a boxspring on Quagga frame.It certainly feels soft, but there is not much give. Slept a few nights on my back and stomach, very good. firm but soft.For me (avg weight, 5.5ft), sleeping on my side wasn't as comfortable, perhaps needs to be broken in a bit first.Some odor for the first two nights, but left without sheets on with ventilation.

Excellent product, have zero complains. few months into it still feels good getting into bed. Supper comfortable and our back & lower back doesn't feel sore. Bought mattress protector form Costco for the mattress and it just feel plush overall.There is strong odor right after you open the mattress, we slept in the guest room for 2 nights left the windows open and fan running, after that no gassing or odor ;)

If you're looking for an affordable and exceptionally comfortable bed, look no further. They vacuum seal the bed to make it smaller and more compact for shipping. So it comes rolled up in a Smaller than expected rectagular shipping box and is surpringly not all too heavy. But the magic happens when you cut the plastic wrapping off your mattress. When I enrolled it while still vacuum sealed I looked at it and thought, "well that doesn't look like a double bed." But after I removed the plastic wrap and my mattress was re oxygenated it transformed into the most amazing, full sized mattress. Some folks complained on here about a plastic smell. And I haven't smelled anything. It smells like a mattress so don't worry about any noxious fumes coming off the bed. As I've had no problems with it. After sleeping on it the first night I had to write a review. I am so very happy with my purchase. I have a bad back and some mattresses cripple me. This one sleeps like a dream. Its firm enough to support my back but the memory foam makes it cozy and soft. And the fact that it is springs and foam makes it all the better. I'm going to love this bed for years to come. And the nice thing is. It comes with a ten year warranty. So screw the big brands that charge you out the butt for something similar to this. And buy this bed. With your savings you can Always buy some wine and pizza to eat in your bed. Maybe a new sheet set. :)

Hello-Like a lot of people I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on a mattress , sight unseen, but decided to take a chance.in checking other places I felt that this was an excellent price. It arrived on Wednesday-and I am NOT disappointed. I used a slat bed as support instead of box spring.It returned to its 14" size within minutes of cutting off the plastic. The enclosed instructions said it could be slept on that night. There was a slight odour, open window and fan going resolved that issue within a an hour- I am 6'1" and weighing in at 265 pounds- nice firm mattress--great sleep-will be getting a second one when finances allow for the spare room.

I love it very much. The mattress is very comfortable that is better than expected. It is soft and perfect to fit our body shape when tossing and turning during the sleeping. The little odor disappears quickly after opening. I strongly recommend to have the mattress for your good sleeping.The package is perfect for the expression that makes the big mattress to the minimum size. The mattress recovers to the normal size after opening the plastic package outside soon.Unfortunately, the shipping service is delayed for 8 days because the wrong address label needs to be corrected. Anyway, I am happy to have it before Christmas.
