Small & powerful inflator - great value, if you already have Ryobi One battery & charger
I'm quite a fan of most of the Ryobi One stuff, so was excited to see this little compressor/inflator when it appeared on the market.I already had chargers/batteries/etc as have loads of their other power tools.Thought I'd give this a go.If you already have the batteries, this is a great value little compressor. It inflated my car tyres, even at high pressure (45 psi) within about 30 seconds (from around 40 psi) - so it's much more powerful than those little 12v cigarette lighter powered cheap inflators you can buy.It came with a couple of adapters for pumping up different lower pressure items too.Only downside is that this is probably quite an expensive solution if you don't have other Ryobi One gear (you'd need a battery & charger) - and unless you plan on getting other Ryobi battery tools as well, you could buy a much more powerful compressor for that kind of money. But if you already have the batteries, etc - this is a really nifty bit of kit.

Does the job .... but
If you have a number of Ryobi One tools and already have a charger and several batteries then this item is good. It tops up the tyre pressures on the largish wheels of my pick up pretty easily, it is quite quick and it does not get very hot. So far so good but the main problem is the mechanical air pressure gauge, we are talking chocolate teapot poor with readings consistently 20 - 25% lower than either an accurate home gauge or a commercial gauge like those found in a tyre shop and I have cross referenced against both. Ryobi would be better taking the gauge off completely and either supplying a separate fit for purpose gauge or telling customers to buy their own! So all in all worth having as long as you are aware of the limitations.

Disappointing
I have lots of other Ryobi One+ products and they are all GREAT. However this one is disappointing. It just manages to blow up a small party balloon let alone put a bit of pressure into one of my car tyres. I have to revert to a foot pump. I bought this because I am older and wanted to not have to foot pump. I thought this would do the job bud sadly not up to it. I think Ryobi do a bigger model but this one has not got the pressure output to inflate the car tyres.

Happy chappy
I used to go to petrol stations or use my 12v socket tyre inflator that came with my car (part of a puncture repair kit).Having the freedom of not being tethered and the extra power out of Ryobi's 18v battery makes a big difference.I now regularly check my tyre pressure on my bikes and cars at home.Toping up a motorcycle tyre, even from a very low pressure, takes a bout a minute.A car tyre does take noticeably longer, to the point where you start to feel bored, but that is due to their larger volume.Keep in mind that these kind of electric air pumps make a fair bit of noise...

Love it
with the cost of air pump at petrol stations going up all the time (I saw a machine that was contactless) it makes sense to have your own at home. You can pump up your tyres when you want, at home. This machine is very light (without the battery) and its just like a drill. One button operation but an easy to read gauge. This would make sense if you have one of their battery packs as this does not come with one.If you dont have a battery pack then its worth looking elsewhere. However I would recommend Ryobi as a company. I have a few of their tools. No complaints.

OK
This pump is lacking a few basics and considering the company that made it that's pretty disappointing. It pumps slower than I expected. But there is no trigger lock, so you have to hold it in use so in turn It doesn't have a cut-off when it reaches pressure. the pressure gauge is about seven or eight pounds out. You have to turn it on and off a few times to get the nearest guestimate of pressure but you cant rely on its reading in any way. I think this product is priced purely on the name.

Works well, just one quibble
I know that now most devices are sold without batteries (which I find a pain) but it feels as though this is a way to get more money for the same product. The pump works really well, is relatively quiet, my only quibble is that the switch has no lock, open or closed, and I could that the slightest pressure on the switch makes it run (under the floor of my boot for instance!). I'd like to have seen a switch lock or shield. It would then be a 5 star product.

Sooooo convenient
Much easier than plugging a compressor into the 'cigarette lighter' socket in the car and running the cable through the driver's window to check front and rear tyres and then having to run the cable through the passenger window to get to the other two tyres because the cable won't go around the car...(breathe)...and then close the windows and then pack-away the compressor. It's a complete faff. With the cordless Ryobi hand-held inflator, it only takes a couple of minutes to walk around the car and check tyre pressures. I found the gauge to be accurate. It's so quick that I can do both family cars every Sunday morning and my personal best time is getting lower every week!
