Fits like a max Payne 3.
It tries to be a max Payne game transported into a comic book and it does good. It’s short but really good and a must read.

Great for any Max Payne fan!
The comic while it does have a small part from Max Payne 3 largely takes place in Max’s mind during one of the shorter scenes of the game. Don’t expect it to be action although there is some of the classic Shoot-dodge mechanics shown. Very good and certainly worth it. There is even concept art from Max Payne 3.

Too short
I love the artwork and story. Huge Max Payne fan since 2001 proud to say. I was hoping it was a longer read. Didnt see details on how many pages it was. I love this graphic novel

Good For Any Fan of Max Payne
This graphic novel is quite good; the dialogue is precisely what you'd expect from a Max Payne work, with gritty film-noir aspects sprinkled throughout. The illustrations are beautiful and it really does become a page-turner at times. Any fan of the games should definitely add this to their collection. I just wish it was a little bit longer, but for the price that it's listed at [currently $5.99] I can't complain all that much. :D

10/10
A must have for any Max Payne lover. It's price completely reflects what you get. Don't expect a graphic novel, its merely 3 comic books in one beautiful, hard cover book. This is art. Beautifully drawn, and it also ties together all 3 games really well. Took me about 15 minutes to get through all 3, and it was worth every penny. If you're curious about Max's past before even the first Max Payne video game, this is for you. I have my copy on display right next my Max Payne statue. If knowing Max Payne 3 is the last in the series pains you (like it pains me), buy this. You'll love it

A good read, but not for someone who isn't already a fan
Max Payne is an interesting book for someone interested in learning about Max Payne's past such as his early childhood, his relationship with his wife, etc but for someone who's look for an action packed story I'd re-direct them to the actual games. It pains me to say this, but if you're not already a fan of Max Payne it'd be a waste of time to read this. The story is basically Max Payne re-telling his past in a bar in a New York City before his travels to Brazil which is literally the same as one of the scenes in Max Payne 3. The only difference is that Max Payne goes into more detail on his past and that's about it. In these flashbacks are really just a series of short stories that might last anywhere from 1 panel to about 4 pages. Its also a bit overpriced for what you're getting. This hardcover graphic novel is 52 pages long, but you could get a hardcover book withdouble the pages at this price.Verdict: Buy it if you're a fan of the series and want some Max Payne merchendise on your shelfs. If you're not then don't bother especially if you plan on getting into the series. Not a good starting point since it spoils most of the first and second games.

Max Payne 3: The Complete Series
Great comic book prequel to the titular game of the same name. Ties in Max Payne 2 and 3. Great hard cover, pages are pleasant to the touch.

I really like Max Payne
I really like Max Payne. I have played all three games and watched the movie when it came out. This comic is really cool if you're a fan like I am, however it is only the comics in the third game, and I didn't find any new or revealing content when I read it.
