Really wanted this to work, but...
I've purchased Wavlink network products in the past with mixed results. When I saw this router and read the features and specs, it sounded exactly what I needed. In some cases, couldn't ask for more. In the case that's most important, bandwith speed and strength, it fell short.Pros:Packaging: Sleek design with well padded insulation.Product design. Was drawn to the industrial/minimalist style. Fit perfectly to the only location that was central to all rooms.LCD Screen: Easy to read and use.Web Interface: A big improvment from previous Wavlink network product interfaces. East to navigate with the standard and advanced options.Fiber Optic Connectivity: If you're a Verizon FIOS subscriber for their internet service, this router is compatible with the ONT that has the built in modem. My understanding is this router should work with AT&T UVerse fiber optic service.Cons:Signal speed and strength: If you're within 25-30 feet of the router without obstructions, found the signal speed and strenght are good, at best. When devices are further than 25-30 feet, found the performance declines significantly the further away the device is from the router.LCD Weather Display: Only displays the location temperature in celcius. No firmware setting for farenheit. You may need to manually set your location.A/C Adapter: Very short cord length compared to other routers. If you have an open floor plan with few obstructions and you're not concerned this router is older technology, it may be one to consider given the attractive price point.

Good value
Needed a router to improve streaming and initially spent $250 on a major vendor and ended up with junk. This router was fairly easy to configure for WISP (though the video was out of date), just select repeater mode provide the SSID for your ISP (and password if appropriate), provide the names and credentials for your other access points and you should be good to go. So far I'm getting excellent streaming performance and still getting fast downloads. Well worth the $89!

Update: Wifi extender feature stopped working after 8 months and router stopped working
I bought two of these routers 8 months ago, mainly for the super strong wifi signal. I used one of the routers as a wifi extender. The setup worked great until about 10 days ago. Suddenly the extended router was no longer connecting to the master unit. After many hours of trying including swapping the units around, I could no longer to get either unit to function as the wifi extender. Obviously Wavlink has changed something in a poor attempt to sell more routers. My recommendation is to avoid this router and all Wavlink products. Updated: One of these routers has now stopped working. Did not even last a year. Avoid this router and save yourself a lot of headache and disappointment.

Great desktop extender
I use this in my upstairs bedroom as a wifi extender. I plug in my mac mini to the L1 and get double speed i used to get just wifi alone, and i also have my smart tv connected to it via wifi cuz my smart tv is cheap and has bad wifi range which is fixed now. For the cost i would recommend this as an externder that has ethernet ports unless you spend hundreds for a tri band i dont think you can do any better for $44.

Flashing Red Light After Only 5 Months of Use
After 5 months, I lost Internet connectivity and the red light on this device was flashing. The modem works fine. I replaced the ethernet cable. I restarted the modem. I restarted this router several times, and I reset it. Still, the red light flashes and I have no Internet through this piece of junk.
