This is the best tool if you are using a hammer!!! Wether to hold a chisel as I need it for or any other item. Just wish it didn't come loose at anytime if it had a v grip inside to hold the chisel it would grip it better when tightening to hold in place. Other than that a very great product.

The workmanship leaves something to be desired. The threads for either the shaft and ring are pretty lose and have a fair amount of play. There are a couple minor scratches to the black oxide finish, and a small dent on the handle, although not really that important since it'll take hammer blows when you miss. The shaft doesnt seem to be installed fully in to the handle as there are a couple tabs poking out the front which keep it from rotating in the handle. Made in China according to the Amazon page. I had higher expectations for $25.Also not that it matters much, but the handle isnt red, its black.

Quality American tool that will be a make for asafer way to use chisels.

I purchased this to replace my Snap On punch holder. (1.) The hole for the shaft is off center from the ring. (2) There is no jam nut to keep the holder from loosening (3.) There is a white piece of plastic to hold the punch, but it quickly wears down to where it doesn't do its job.
