Easy, no leaks!
This fitting was used in a sprinkler installation. They worked very well and very easy to install. I used the rainbird funny pipe, there were no leaks present. The fittings seems well made, and should last for years. Definitely value for money. Must need during sprinkler installation.

Too small.
Is too small for rainbird funny pipe.. Every every connection leaks.. To use this fitting gear clamps are required.

This is the only place I can find them. Local hardware stores have units that they advertise as 1/2 inch, but some are too small, and other big box hardware stores sell some that are less than 1/2 inch.
