I very rarely post reviews, but this one deserves my time. We purchased this in January of 2022 and my husband uses it every Friday when he works from home... so it has been used approx 174 times (thank you, ChatGPT!). It is a great little extension that he is able to quickly pull out and put away at the end of his workday. It reaches all the way across our house and he hasn't ever complained about computer slowness.Now, it does require some occasional maintenance... I'd say maybe once every 18 months, when he is unwinding the cable it gets bunched up. But I can get it working again in 7 minutes with the help of a screwdriver. There are 2 small screws holding the female port piece in place - remove those. You'll need something to then lift that round disk out - but you'll notice that it doesn't come out very far... that's okay and you honestly don't need it to. Just pull it out as far as you can and inside at the bottom you'll see a metal washer with a screw. Unscrew this (it's a SUPER long screw... huh, never thought I'd type that) and you'll find that the entire thing comes apart in two pieces. You'll probably see where the cable got hung up on itself, but rather than just fix it from there, I always completely unwind it and make sure that the cable gets all of it's twists out. Then I wind it back up around the reel, making sure that there aren't any twists along the way (this can be a pain, but I usually loop it around the reel a couple of times and then rotate the device itself to compensate for the twist that gets put into the line). Once it is all on the reel I put the two halves together. Getting the washer and screw back in is a little trickier; if your screwdriver is magnetic this will be a huge help. If it isn't, I have found that a refrigerator magnet can help. Once that's back in place you just screw the front disk back into place.Okay - I hope that this helps anybody that find their cord stuck.

This works perfectly! So convenient and compact.If you’re a gamer, I recommend this if you’re WiFi isn’t close to your Gaming system, or if you want to play in a different room and not worry about latency.

Very nice extension cable. Needed something for my work from home part time job. I needed flexibility to unplug & put away the cables when not in use. This is perfect...comes with both male & female connectors which is very helpful

It did my great yo until one of my kids tripped on it. Instantly broke. But other than the accident it’s a solid product just not as durable as it should be in my opinion.

The quality of the cable is very high the case plastic is also a good quality, but id recorded manufacturing to clean some sharp edges on plastic case specifically on cable slot it's a bit sharp

Each gig we have to get on site, and run cabling to cameras and networked equipment. The ease of deploying the cables and then having to clean them up after the gig, makes this a nice add. I have had zero issues with data dropping or anything like that, and would recommend these if you need something compact that can easily deploy a Cat5 and get it packed up even quicker.

An excellent product for those who require a dedicated Ethernet connection or those whose WiFi is spotty. Easy and simple to use. Decent price.

This product worked great for my needs as someone who runs a weekly Zoom session. Before, I was manually running a 25-foot ethernet cable, and it took more time than I liked to break down the Zoom setup. The ability to quickly retract without tangling up the cord is well worth the product's price.
