Bamboo Universal Knife Block with Adjustable Bristles, Knife Stand Holder without Knives for Kitchen Counter (4.13x9.25 In)

I found one of these in a condo in Calif a couple of years ago but had never seen one for sale until now. This is the cleverest of knife holders and takes considerably less counter space than a slotted wood one. Instead of finding a slot to fit the knife, this lets the knife find and make its own slot. High quality wood exterior.

The best part of this item is that you can fit many knives in it and thus remove Knives from utensil drawer. The knives can be various sizes, shapes, and makes. You are not limited by the number of knife slots available. I gave it as a gift and the recipient was thrilled with the gift. Also, the price was very reasonable and it’s simple design complement ant kitchen

Just what I needed

Why would I want my knife holder to be warm? So, I like this. Gives me a nice place to store my knives, but is so tall I have to pull from under cupboard to removed knives. Otherwise, keeps knives from dulling, beautiful and well made.

Holds knives vertically and they stay exactly as you placed them in the block. Handles don’t tend to fall over as in some open slotted holders do.

The knife holder is very attractive. I’ve had it almost 2 1/2 months and today I noticed a split in the wood. I’m past the 30 day window but I certainly expected it to hold up more than a couple of months. It held 6 steak knives and kitchen scissors which I didn’t think was too much for it to handle.The first picture my husband pulled a bit on the wood to show where the split is located.

I bought the block as part of an upgrade in my chopping tools ( see photo, block on right) Because it’s got plastic bristles, rather than slots, it will take as many knives, in whatever way you like. Really clever design as it supports the blades at whatever height suits you. The bristle part is easily removed for cleaning, (unlike slots, which I find get gunked up after a while…) I like that it’s upright, rather than angled, as it takes up less room on my worktop. I think the bamboo goes well with the bamboo chopping board, also bought from Amazon.

Cuando lo abrí de la caja me pareció más pequeño de lo que me esperaba, pero al empezar a meter cuchillos quedé sorprendido de la cantidad que cabían sin forzar nada.
