When the blade is extended, one can pull out the old blade and insert the new one. **Q: Is this made in USA?** A: Please include the product name. **Q: Is it safe to use on my glass topped stove?** A: I was unhappy with these scrapers. The blade does no come out properly and lock in place, like my other scraper did. In fact I I have lost one of the blades already. I do not know what happened to it. I was trying to get the same scraper that we had when I was a kid. The ones that I purchased over the years were adequate, but certainly not of the same quality. I am sure that they will last a lifetime. They have so many uses: removing paint from window glass, removing stickers, cleaning ceramic stovetop, removing caulking from tub, and most importantly for me is when I am sewing. When the order arrived I was replacing the kitchen backsplash…the scraper was perfect to clean the grout from glass subway tile without scratching. I keep one near the kitchen stove and one in my sewing room. I plan to purchase more for the craft room and my husbands shop. I don’t have any reservations recommending this product.
