This kit includes the re-engineered parts which more effectively open the blending door. Installation was as easy as removing the original pieces and replacing them with these. They're doing the trick and now my temperature setting knob moves smoothly and without resistance. This is worth trying first if you're having issues with your temperature control knob. If these don't do the trick, the next step is removing the dash and servicing the blend door. This is very labor intensive so using this kit first is advisable.

Works for my 2002 Lancer OZ. The design is different, but it still works and is actually more efficient than the 02 model's design. Just be sure to apply some gear lube.

Awesome product came in time shipped quick etc I am happy I bought this part to fix the common issue of the older Lancers heater control but I do recommend you buy the cable as well not just the gears but anyways great product
