UPDATE:I have owned this pillow for almost 3 years now. It is still the best pillow that I have ever used. I bought one for my grandson, he loved it. My daughter tried his and loved it, so I bought her one too. She ended up buying 1 for her fiance and 2 more for their weekend home. Once you try this pillow and figure out the versatility, you will never go back. I am buying myself a 2nd one to keep at my sister's new home out of state for my frequent visits. My original one is still in great shape.My original review:I'm so glad that I decided to give this crazy shaped pillow a try. It's amazing. So comfortable and so versatile to position it for whatever way I want to sleep or read. Now I sleep soundly and comfortably on my side, stomach or back. I can sit up and read and it wraps right around my back with one end cushioning my head and the other end under my arm supporting my arm. Sleeping on my stomach I use it positioned like an upsidedown horseshoe and wrap my arms around it. On my side I can put most of it behind me to keep my body supported and keeps me from flipping onto my back or put most of it in front of me hugging it and keeping me from flipping onto my stomach. I also use it sitting up wrapped around my waist, resting on my lap to hold my laptop, tablet or book on it. I sleep with a CPAP and have always struggled with it pressing into the regular shaped pillows. Because of the narrow width of this pillow my CPAP mask does not touch the pillow and stays perfectly in place. I removed a couple of handfuls of the memory foam stuffing to reduce how firm it was. I saved the extra stuffing in case I ever want to replace it. The case is soft and it's removable and washable. Another reviewer suggested these stretchy Boppie covers and I bought them. I like these much better than the original cover. They are very soft and super stretchy. I took a chance on this pillow, knowing that I could return it if I hated it. I ended up buying two of these that's how much I like them. I have no more arm or shoulder pains after sleeping. It lets me sleep calmer too - less turning at night. The second one I bought for my reading corner. I removed one star because I do not like that the seller does not offer pillow case choices. The case that it comes with is comfortable but starts looking used after a few washes. But it is not just that I would like to change the color of it.

Don't waste your time or money on the "as seen on tv" Side Sleeper Pro pillow, I did and now its being used as a seat cushion in my husband's tractor! This pillow is the real deal, I love it! I've used it for 3 weeks now and my neck and tension headaches are gone, I feel more rested in the morning. I'm not saying that this pillow is a miracle worker, I'm just saying that the pillow does what it's suppose to do, and that is to give great neck support for side sleepers. It's a great size pillow that keeps it's shape, which is key in giving you the support that you need. It doesn't flatten at all, not only was the Side Sleeper Pro small, there was virtually no filler in it, it literally flattened to where you felt like you had no pillow at all, which made my headaches worse. I knew within 3 days that the Pro pillow was a piece of crap and immediately stopped using it. There is no comparison in the quality either, the Jaxx Avana is made very well and it's made to last for a while, whereas the Pro pillow is cheap looking and terribly made, a knock-off! I'm hoping by reviewing both pillows here that I will save the next person the hassle that I went through to get a good nights sleep, pay the extra money for the Jaxx Avana, you won't regret it! By the way, I haven't had an issue with the pillow being too hot or too hard on my ears and I am able to sleep on my back with it as well.

I was skeptical when I placed the order. Then I got buyers remorse and decided to cancel the order. It had a 4 week ship schedule, so there was time to cancel. But before I could cancel, I received notice that it shipped about 3 weeks earlier than Amazon said it would. It arrived in about a week after I placed my order. I opened it up and thought it this will never work. Boy was I surprised! It's comfortable and great for a side sleeper. Supports my head and neck while giving me something to hug. Even though the firmness is adjustable, I haven't had to - it was perfect out of the box.
