Q: What type of cord do I need to charge it? I can’t find the correct one anywhere.

The lantern itself is not rechargeable. However, you can charge your cell phone with it using your cell phone charger cord.

Q: Where is the battery compartment?

The battery compartment is in the base of the lantern. Turn it upside down, screw off the bottom, and insert the batteries. Also, even though you didn't ask, but someone is bound to: it's made in China.

Q: Does this have the emergency flashing red light option as well?
