I had one just like this for my African Grey for a couple of years, he loved it. This one is just like it and he loves it too. It is helping out with keeping his nails and beak trimmed. I had no problems with the plastic holder, and I think this is well made.

This is a replacement of a 10 year old perch for our Amazon. It looks very sturdy and is the perfect size.

I wanted to change my bird's perch and this one is easier to put on and take off. It seems to be working fine for my bird. It was purchased as a replacement from the previous perch I had. It is also lightweight and not as heavy as the perch I was using before. I shall see how it holds up which I think there will be no problem.

Like all the reviews say, this product can only be mounted on VERTICAL bars.Perfect size for my blue fronted amazon and it worked great initially. My amazon hadn't had a recent nail trim from when she was with her old owners and made me bleed on contact. Using just this perch, her nails are filed down nicely with no fuss.However, the perch does seem to irritate the bottom of her feet with constant use, so make sure your birds get some time on other perches to minimise that.Other than all of that, the grittiness of the perch seems to have worn down after less than 4 months of use. Some of the sharpness has come back to a few of her nails but not enough to be a problem -- just noticeable.

I have an African grey and ordered this perch. I like that the top is soft for the bottoms of his lil feeties, and sides are rough to help wear down nails and beak. It is hard to clean. Everything gets stuck on pumice. But overall great product!!

Bird loved the perch and it's helping sand his nails!

It's not made from pumice, it's plastic with sandpaper. Overall terrible.
