Super Sensitive Tuning with Decent Sound
The radio I received was charged right out of the box (good sign for battery health) and immediately started picking up numerous stations if you tune it slow. I managed to receive many far away AM / FM stations as well as an impressive amount of SW stations. Radio is smaller than I expected but its performance definitely surpassed my expectations. It reminds me of a miniature GE Superadio and I have to say that compliment is deserved in this radio. Audio quality isn’t amazing but acceptable for this price. Definitely get one…

AM/FM/SW radio - I was plesantly surprised at the performance
This measures about 6" wide by about 4.4" tall and performs rather well. I use rechargeable D cell batteries and use this as a hand held portable. It does have a built in 1800 mAh battery but needs to be connected to wall power for those to charge. I have poor hearing but have no trouble at all hearing this radio, the audio quality is that good. The audio is not super hi-fi but is pleasant to listen to and has plenty of volume. The carry handle appears to be faux leather on a flat web belt material. I like it. It does have a metal grill over the speaker and a hard plastic case. Important for me, I listen to some weaker AM and FM stations. This performs almost as well as a $150 Japanese radio that I bought 10 years ago. The tuning is just like the old radios except that the low end of the bands are on the right side of the dial. You will need to learn how to move the tuning dial back and forth a little in order to get the best signal reception, retro. The SW reception depends on time of day and the ionosphere. You may not hear anything without a wire antenna connected. All in all, I really like this little radio.

Great radio
I was really surprised when I got this little radio, the clear sound that comes out of those three speakers is amazing the sound is so clear. This radio is perfect for me, my hospital table isn't really that big and this radio fits perfectly. I highly recommend this radio, if it's a small radio you want and you want great sound you will not be disappointed.

3 years later and it’s still working great!
We have had this radio for almost 3 years now and it’s still going strong! My husband listens to it while outside around the yard and for some reason he left it on 24/7 playing in the garage for no particular reason but no worse for wear. It is pretty small and pics make it look bigger than it is- we thought it looked kind of childish but the sound is good so we got over it. Will buy again if this one eventually wears out.

Average radio for the price
I was expecting a little more from this radio, but it doesnt perform nearly as well as my 30 year old Panasonic portable. Sound is ok, it does get pretty loud, but the volume control is hard to adjust, just a tiny turn and the sound is blasting loud. FM reception is average and clear, on AM there is a lot of background crackling, as if there is an electrical storm in the area. Tuning is just average, not super precise. Unable to pick up a lot of stations on the shortwave bands either. The built in battery is already holding less of a charge, and there are no indicators to show if it is charging when plugged in. Included instructions are not good either. But, all in all, as a little knock around radio that is small and easy to carry around, with good loud volume , its decent.

Listen to news without having to set in front of a TV set!
Sometimes it is nice to keep up with local and area news without having to watch a TV set. This radio lets me keep up with what is going on around me without having to have eyes glued to a TV set. This handy little radio provides that freedom!
