I have not purchased a glove in probably 15 years. I went through several options from cheap to expensive looking for a good fit. I actually purchased this and the Rawlings Player Preferred. The Player preferred glove is definitely a softer material but that doesn’t mean broken in. That glove is great but definitely had some pain points during break in. The Sandlot glove is a much stiffer and higher quality leather. The “80% broken in” claim is probably accurate. The glove hinges well out of the packaging and the leather should soften up with use. Highly recommend.
