A genuinely lovely children's book
Given that I'm going to end up reading them dozens of times, I'm always on the lookout for children's books that are artfully drawn or that have a positive message. This one has both, with rich and colourful illustrations that are worth lingering over to take in all the detail, and a simple story that encourages children to notice the natural world around them. It's imaginative and just a little surreal: "every night the stars come out and go to work in the sky" it reads, as little bow-tied stars climb ladders into the dark. Lovely. We got it from the library, but it's a keeper and I'm here to buy a copy.

This book is my sons favourite, it's got a lesson in it too about light pollution and how busy we are that sometimes we just don't look up to see the stars. It's all written in a child friendly manner with lovely detailed pictures. Fantastic book.,

A clever story
Like "The Red Boat" this story really engaged the children in my class (four and five year olds) with its thoughtful message and clever illustrations.

A good story with an important message
This book really helps you highlight the current climate we live in and to be able to use it to explain to my little one is great... sends a good message
