Works on Acrylic
I bought this to use on my acrylic tank and it works well. It cost a little more but looks better than the plastic mag floats do.

Well worth the expense
This cleaner is unlike any other floating magnetic cleaners I have ever used. I started reefing in the early 2000's. Back then they had floats with razors attached, that rusted right away. Next came the cheap plastic ones. I just threw my (name brand) float away, because it couldn't GET the algae off the glass. This one certainly DOES take algae right off. It sticks very well, I don't think I could get them to unattach unless I did it on purpose. Wonderful product!

Used weekly for over a year. Haven't needed to change the pads yet. No scratches on my 20H tank, and scrubs hard enough to clean off the coraline algae.

I purchased this after buying several other brands, this Piranha Float is great,well worth the cost. I would recommend this product, and the seller was great and sent follow up e-mails also.
