Effective Fundraising for Nonprofits: Real-World Strategies That Work

Fundraising vs seeking profit through sales and marketing strategies is not as simple as it may look. This book has helped me look at the process and rewrote my default beliefs about what successful nonprofits do to remain successful. I agree with the many experts cited in the book. I keep this book on my desk next to my computer as an indispensable reference and guide.

I found this book VERY helpful. In fact, I was so fascinated with it, I couldn't put it down. It was like a good novel. I immediately changed some of my thank you letters and re-did my Corporate request for funding letter. I will continue to use it's suggestions. The book is well written and not full of 'filler info', but very solid recommendations that one can put to use right away.

This was an excellent introduction to fund raising that would have been even more excellent if the first 37 pages of the book had been included in the binding. The fact that the next 37 pages were included twice was not beneficial.

This books emphasis (see table of contents) is on following administrative/legal requirements, developing plans etc, but I found little practical advice in the way of finding new donors or getting them to donate or creative fundraising.

This book has so much information that is super practical and formatted so that it is easy to understand. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is starting a nonprofit. It has many great tools.

Simple to read and full of very helpful ideas. For someone unfamiliar with these waters, this handbook makes it very possible to jump in and swim. It was worth the price and a good resource to have around.

Great primer with just enough detail on each subject. Even if you know most of what's here, helps you organize your thoughts, so you can make an organized plan and put into action.
