Perfect fix
Easy and effective. Measure the distance, add about 25% more, cut and install. Makes the outlet/switch rock solid. Kind of pricey for what it is but it works!

Easy to use!
A lot cheaper and easier than all the other extenders out there. I was able to work the whole kitchen brick backsplash with 2 packs and has some left over. The brick brought the wall out almost .75 inches from the original outlet box. I had a small shipping issue with the first order and the vendor was so nice and took care of it immediately.

These solved my problem. Plastic tubing you snipe to the length you need. You must purchase longer screws to complete.

Great
This product is amazing. It's nice to buy something that does exactly what you expect, even to the point of surpassing your expectations. It's simple affordable and the end result looks like you worked really hard. If you using this in an office with existing dry wall as long as you have an effective way to fish the wire through the wall this little item is the way to go

Worked, but flexible rubber
I bought these to allow a switch to fit in the electrical box after adding drywall over a plaster and lath wall. Simple idea and the extra long screws are the key.Unfortunately, the spacer is not a hard plastic as I expected, but a thick dense rubbery tube. So, when tightening the screws, the tube material compresses and the switch plate never really gets tight. You have to cut it a little long to get a tighter fit if the switch or outlet doesn't tighten against the adjacent wall material and, if that were the case, you don't need a spacer, just long screws! It worked OK for a switch, but I'd worry about flexing any outlet when removing its plug. I only needed it for this one instance and it worked satisfactorily, if a little expensive for just one switch plate!

These little babies did the trick
I was upgrading some of the switched and outlets in my house. In the master bath, they decided to cut a hole in the mirror and put the outlets and switches in the hole. It was a pretty tough hack job, the cuts were irregular, not even or or centered and not equal to the boxes. Plus, there was a gap between the box and the face of the mirror. I found the Effortless Electrical Spacers and decided to take a chance. Well, they did the trick. The switched and plugs are snug and do not move and are flush to the mirror. The kit came with enough to do the job, plus the extra long screws were a huge help. I used up my supply and bought another kits to have on hand in case I have another problem.A few hints to make using these easier. Measure the depth and mark the line with a very fine scribe or pencil. I used the screw, marked the screw and then marked the tubing. Use an exacto knife to cut the tubing as scissors will distort the cut. I doubt it would affect performance much but I wanted my install to be super neat. Also cut the tube about 1/16" or less larger than your mark. The tubing will collapse as you tighten down the screws, this helps keep your switch or outlet snug. Keep some extra on hand, they will save your alot of headaches in the future. They worked really well for me and My install looks great.
