I’m a professional crop consultant and take over 2000 samples a year and this is my third one and this is my favorite hand probe it’s light and fairly sturdy with the nice wide foot peg so I haven’t had tendinitis since I started use this one they last 1500 samples (~15000 plugs) usually then wear out as expected in my sandy soil and not worn bad just barely measurable amount it just doesn’t hold the core in dry sand as well when it starts to get worn out but still works great in moist or heavy soil

This thing works great! Helps me get my samples and it is very sturdy ! Plan on using this for a long time !

The SST used is very strong. The only criticism I have is the bolt holes to assemble the three parts together is much larger than needed for tight assembly.
