There isn't much beautiful prose
It was interesting to explore the life of Alys of France. That being said, it was more of a list of historic events, invention, and long dull scenes. It would improve this genre if the writers could bring the readers into the world of 12th century Europe more.

One of the best historical romances
I’ve read a great deal of historical fiction/romance books. This and Queen’s Pawn are two of the best. Well-written and easy to read, Christy English has the reader right there with Alais. The descriptions are clear and colorful. Spoiler alert: you’ll need tissue for the ending. I suggest reading the three books in chronological order: Ealianor of Aquitaine, Queen’s Pawn, and then Princess of France. I wish there were a sequel to this one.

Historical Romance
Many of the characters were less than Christian. The princess sinned when she knew it was wrong. Some of her actions may have caused her heartache. When she and her husband repented, their life turned around for the better.

Good book
I like this book because it did give to me view on person I did know very little. I did not have any knowledge about her dramatic life.

It was just okay
I have to admit that I was disappointed in this sequel to the first book that I enjoyed immensely. I found it very boring even though there were plenty of events in her life. Way to much narrative and not enough dialogue just didn't permit me to know the characters.
