An amazing story with fantastic character development. You grow attached to everyone in the story and how their relationships change and evolve throughout. Two strong female leads who are kind but fierce. Cannot wait for part 2!

Though the synopsis is up my ally in terms of characters and plot, I found the writing style to be aimed at pre-teens rather than young adults. The book is written in first person with the dialogue and sentence structure to be quite basic. The female leads character design is particularly trope with YA fantasy, with not much creativity in personality.Im sure younger readers would find this entertaining, but personally the writing style was not to my taste.
