Louis Wain's Cat Compendium: Art Prints Compilation Album

First of all, the premise of the book is amazing. Pure art, 0 text and it delivers on that wonderfully. If I have a complain that I wish to be fix in a future compilation of possible reprints are this.Some of the choices of sizes are unfortunate, since there's incredible detailed pictures with intricate backgrounds and multiple well rendered cats that are very small but some clear small artworks are blown Up to page wide. This in turn makes you unable to fully appreciate some of his best work on the former and the latter look blurry due to the size increase.Will also love to see a bit more of the more kaleidoscopic pieces, as there several widely available online that are missing here.Overall, fantastic book for any lover or Louis Art. Decent Price, great image quality and arrived really fast.Will recommend.

I found this book after watching the biopic about Wain (starring Benedict Cumberbatch). I wanted a good sample of Wain's cat pictures, and this book is EXACTLY what I wanted. There are 170 reproductions of Wain's charming artworks, on glossy paper, with no commentary or other text. My wife, the cat lady, loved it.

Watched the movie “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” with Benjamin Cumberbatch and was fascinated and taken in by this artist and his life story. I also love his cat art and I found this book to be a superb collection of his work. It is wonderful keepsake.

Really well put together. It does not have a text and doesn't need one. It was just delivered yesterday and I have gone through it 3 times already and just ordered another copy to use as a gift.Particularly appropriate because of the movie about the artist's life.

This book contains 170 of Louis Wain's cat painting reprints. Some are cartoonist, whimsical, or fantastic. Many others are more realistic. Beautiful. A great overview of his work.

Great book...will change how felines are viewed by gum. SEE THE MOVIE....ENJOY THE BOOK....! WAIN HAD IDEAS.

Although there is a fairly good selection of artwork by Louis Wain in this book, the terrible paper quality and the atrocious print quality of this book makes it hard for me to give this even one star.Amazon are insulting the memory of one of Englands most wonderful illustrators with cheap tat. This book costs £10.99 and is not worth 10p the quality is so poor.Amazon need to up their publishing game, start making books from decent, durable paper, employ someone with qualification and experience in publishing who has the ability to ensure that any "art" book is of a reasonable standard before it goes to press.This book is pure exploitation of Louis Wain's legacy and is clearly parasiting off the back of "The Electrical Life of Louis Wain" film released in the UK in 2021.This book will be going back for a refund.
