A promising debut book
I got an advance copy of this book for review and wasn’t disappointed. Strong characters, magic, political intrigue, battles, betrayal and mystery. A fantasy with it all going on. It really took off from the second third onwards.

Fight for Justice
As the three empires clash in the Council, playing political games, Fangbane realizes the world needs a group of fighters who will protect everyone, regardless of their race, religion, and status. He forms the Knights of Alliance, a group of warriors dedicated to defending those in need. After Fangbane saves her friend, Mirari agrees to set aside her quest to find her brother's killer and joins the Knights. When the Knights learn about a secret group called The Blessed, Mirari realizes her personal goals are more in line with the Knights' mission than she realized. This is a well-written book with excellent world-building, great imagery, and strong, relatable characters. Mirari is my favorite character. She's got amazing fire element powers, yet she doesn't rely on her abilities but learns to fight with weapons. There are so many fun characters in this world that it totally sucks you in, and you can't put it down. I loved Neo's kindness, Dorian's attitude, Hine's gentleness, and even Shiba's nastiness, which hides the depth of his character. There are some great teasers, and I can't wait to see what happens to Mirari and the Knights in the next book!I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a character-driven epic fantasy novel.

Amazing
You don’t have to enjoy epic fantasy or reading to enjoy this book.Knights of the Alliance is fun and easy to understand. Has the feel of a YA (young people saving the world) but uses big words and concepts like adult fiction. Lots of made up terminology, but it makes the read all the more entertaining. There’s magic in the way she writes. In just the first four-ish chapters I went from feeling an adrenaline rush, to being angry, to laughing my head off from tiny jokes. It then starts to slow down until you get to PART III (the midpoint), which is pretty common for a book series as you have to establish the world and terminology. After that, I couldn’t put it down. It’s suspense after suspense up until the end. I can’t wait for the next book.
