This functions by shocking your dog once it no longer receives signal from the central device (regardless of the cause). Normally this would be distance of the collars from the main device, but there are other causes, like if the battery dies or the main device malfunctions, your dog gets shocked. I don't love it.

It works as described but after a few weeks...the charge does not hold for more than half a day or less. For the money, it's not worth it. I now have to find and buy another one.

So I received this product an I fully charged the collar. Placed it on my dog went to charge it again an the piece that lets it be able to charge fell out while it was on the dog. So I’m unable to charge it again. Somehow the screw fell out with it on her. This collar unlike any other doesn’t have a place to adjust how hard it hits. So the ups or fedex man almost suffered the consequences of that. I suggest paying more for a better product even though $80 should of given us the comfort of having our dog stay put!

I give this 5 stars because it has done exactly what I need it to do. I have a dog who is a escape artist. I have been using it for 8 months

Plus sides it’s simple and it works good negative sides the battery only last two days and I noticed if the collar loses sight of the base such as a power outage then the dog just gets shocked and shocked until the power gets restored or the dog is in range so put it on a UPS if you don’t want your dog to be shocked when the power goes out

This was easy to set up and place on my pet. The item did not work as it should have. It would beep as a warning, but never delivered the shock to the collar. The tester was used to confirm no shock was being delivered to the collar. However, when the station was unplugged, the collar then delivered a shock after the warning beep. It seemed to work backwards. I returned the item.

EDIT*** This is now a little over a month old…it has completely quit working. My dog ran away yesterday and I thought it just needed to be charged but it’s not working today either. It’s constantly beeping for no reason. My dog ran away again and we can’t find her..my baby is gone because this collar turned out to be a waste of money. Find something else.I would recommend this 100%. My dog likes to dart out the door and run away. She is also an escape artist. This collar was so easy to put together, and works amazingly. She has only had it a few days and has learned where she can’t go already. 10/10. Great for the money.
