If you measure your head circumference properly, where the hat band actually sits, then you will find that the size chart is perfectly accurate. I had to return the first one I ordered because I got a size down based on the reviews. Luckily, if for some reason you do end up needing to return it, the returns process is typically pretty seamless. I do highly recommend this as an affordable hat from a trusted brand.

Beautiful and well made hat. Do NOT listen to the other reviews that state the size is too big.
