Great for diabetics
The toe box is wider than normal and soft. It’s a great material that doesn’t put pressure on sensitive toes. They appear fairly waterproof. My husband has been wearing these for years. They look nice and they have velcro so it’s easy for him to insert his leg brace and orthontics into the shoe. It’s much easier for him to put on than any other shoe he’s worn. They wipe off nice and last a very long time.

A must have!
These shoes are great! My hubby didn’t want to wear his slippers (like he usually wears everywhere) for this special occasion. They do not have that typical diabetic shoe look. He says they are incredibly comfortable. They came with extra inserts for when the feet aren’t as swollen. Well made. We’ve had them over a month now and they are still in good shape. I’ve already recommended them to a few friends and I highly recommend them for people who suffer ailments that swell the feet. And let me tell u, my hubby’s feet swell way more than the typical swollen foot. We got the extra wide and couldn’t even imagine a person needing a 2x wide but I’m sure if u are needing it these would be the perfect fit. No more buying shoes two sizes up in shoes anymore. Yay.

Comfortable
This is the 3rd pair bought for my husband. He mostly wears them as slippers/house shoes. He finds them extremely comfortable and they fit his orthodics well. Importantly they do not cause any issues regarding blisters which is essential when you are a diabetic with previous ulcer issues.

Allows me to work without being in excruciating pain due to seams rubbing by toes....I'm NOT diabetic...
When your feet are yelling and nothing seems to stop the screams of pain, you owe it to yourself to at least try these. I don't know what changed in my feet, but the lateral side of my little toe on the left has become my torn. Nothing is broken -- but there were times that it just felt like shards of rock salt were rubbing. When I could wear anything else, I could wear these. I go back and forth from removing the insoles, to putting other insoles in, to wearing the ones that came with it. But they STILL are what I grab due to the lack of seams and the stretchy foam-like material it is made of. This allows me to work. If you needed to be up on your feet on concrete or steel for long, you'll definitely need another innersole, like the Superfeet Orange, but this is helping me at least GET to work and get around at work. I wish I could find something that works better, but so far, I haven't and I've tried way too many shoes to go into here, including Brooks, New Balance, Salomon, Clarks and Saucony. The major downside for this product is its price. There is no way that this shoe should cost as much as it does. You'll see what I mean if you purchase a pair. I did try another Dr. Comfort shoe and sent it back -- it wasn't well made and had seams that rubbed.

Just AWESOME, so happy I bought these for my dad!!!!
I bought these for my dad; he has a rare neuropathy as well as being diabetic. The neuropathy is a degenerative muscle & nerve disease, so he has very little, if any, muscle left in his feet... and due to the nerve damage/wasting, it can be quite painful for him to walk; in conjunction with the diabetes. Over the years, as he's progressed, I've had to find shoes that help him in his different stages. These shoes are amazing. In the last year, we've tried 3 different pair of shoes, trying to find one that mimics muscle where he doesn't have any anymore. Then I found these... again, these shoes are amazing. When walking, he doesn't complain about pain nearly as much as with the others. So instead of the 10-20 feet he'd go in the other 3 pairs before complaining, he now will walk the entire ~100 ft of the hall !I would like to mention that he is fitted for a prosthetic insert once a year, but even with that, the shoes are VERY VERY important.I am very thankful to whomever designed these. Please DO NOT ever stop producing them...

Adequate
These were adequate for our needs but the elderly person wearing them can't manage the shoehorn and takes the Velcro straps off. The next pair of diabetic shoes I get for him will not have straps and be easier for him to put on by himself.

Accurate Width
Came with 2 types of inserts and a shoehorn. Shoes are comfortable , well made and great looking. I have been buying Mr. Comfort shoes for 5 years now and will continue to buy them whenever I need a new pair. My old pair got coated with mud so I ordered these. I see that they are machine washable so i'll try that and have an extra pair if they come clean. I highly reccomend Dr. Comfort shoes to anyone that finds it hard to find shoes that are wide enough.

Dr. Comfort casual shoe.
Was initially very disappointed with the order as it did NOT arrive, though Amazon said it was delivered. I tracked thru FedEx, and they said it was delivered. An partially opened box did appear two days later, apparently whomever the box was delivered to found they couldn't use shoes my size and bothered to deliver to the addressee. FedEx delivery in Michigan has been horrible since Covid, maybe before too.Now that I've been able to try them on, I find them OK. Billed as "double depth shoe", don't believe it. I do have edema and had to remove the insole to get my foot inside...it's not double depth. Fortunately, the strap is velcro and adjustable on both sides, though not much to work with on the inner side. After a little adjustment, the velcro stays fastened well on the outside of the shoe. Even without the insole, it feels fairly comfortable, at least for short distances. I like the fact the heel is solid and not velcro like most of edema shoes; these feel sturdy, like they will last a long time. Still wish they had more depth as I think the insole would make these more comfortable. Maybe in time the shoe will stretch a bit and I can put them back in.I suggest anyone with a wide foot, high instep, and edema (like me), buy a size up from what you might ordinarily buy; do not trust the "double depth". I would recommend them as a purchase, if you can get FedEx to actually deliver them to you.

The materials are easily cleaned and strong, my dad sais these are the comfiest shoe he has ever worn. I love that they came with optional insoles and that they are versatile inside/ outdoor uses. Thank you!!
