Replaced the capacitor on my Bryant Heat Pump model 214DNA042-A
I bought this Oct 11, 2020 as a backup as its the most common failure point in most air conditioning systems and the techs that come out charge $300 for the part and about $100 to come out and install it (paid those fees a few times in my life now).I's Feb 9, 2022 and we had a lot of power fluctuations yesterday where the lights were going on and off. Noticed the air conditioner wasn't starting up anymore. It was making noise like it wanted to start but it didn't have the extra juice from the capacitor to push a little harder and get the momentum started. It was raining so I wanted until today to put it in for safety reasons.Installed it in 5-10 minutes then tested it. I didn't think it worked at first as nothing was happening but I left the power on for a bit and tried again 10 minutes later. I think the system needs time to boot up, just like a computer, and my patience worked! Saved myself $400 -$13.42 for this part by just thinking ahead a bit. Probably really simple for an AC professional, but I'm proud of myself and my wife won't be coming home from the hospital to a cold house.I have a background in computers and have realized how much that technology applies to so many things. Everything has a motherboard these days and various components that plug into it directly or through wires. I find myself fixing many simple issues with dishwashers, refrigerators, cars, tv's, and now my AC unit just by watching a few youtube videos and some basic common sense in how things work.

Perfect replacement for Goodman Amana start / run capcitor...saved me a LOT of money!
I was skeptical that this generic looking $20 capacitor would be a suitable replacement for my AC unit since I have zero experience with fixing air conditioners. Compressor and fan now sound normal when turning on and off as before they sounded like someone hitting the side with a sledge hammer. The capacitor size was slightly shorter and than one originally installed but fit no problem and works..albeit its only been one day.Took some researching to understand the capacitor codes and find what I needed but this one is a dual capacitor with start motor at 70 micro farads and run at 5 micro farads and I have 440 volt unit.Backstory and warning; My AC unit quit blowing cool air on us twice but leaving it off for a while and turning back on would get it cooling again. I had it "serviced" for $150 that included replacing a $2 air filter and checking capacitors. Repair guy wanted to charge me $650 for parts and labor. I said that seemed high and wanted to wait. He seemed frustrated and said it would be another $80 to come back out and do it so might as well do it now. I alter called the company and asked how much and they told me $250 for capacitors (confirmed both in same piece as shown here) plus labor. Pretty sure this guys he was going to pocket the extra cash. I also called another place and they quoted me $165 with parts and labor unless something else was needed.Bottom line; This PowerWell 70+5 MFD uf Micro Farad 370 or 440 Volt Dual Run Round Capacitor worked as replacement for my Amana Goodman Air Conditioner ASX140601AD. Saved me a bunch of money and took about 10 minutes to replace.Pictures. (1) Original capacitor from front (2) This replacement capacitor from top (3) Amana Goodman label

Works Well
Replaced an old Capacitor. Fixed AC won't start problem. Though the old capacitor had proper reading values when tested with a capacitor meter.

Great value
Used this for my York heat pump. My outside fan was not turning so I looked up the troubleshooting on why and it was either the fan motor was going bad or the capacitor was bad so before I spent a lot of money on a new motor and service charge for someone to put it on I thought I would change out the capacitor which was only 15 dollars. It has been 3 days and so far it is working! I would of given it a 5 star but I wanted to see if it is the capacitor!

Get 2
If your unit is in direct sunlight, get 2 of these as they will go out on the hottest month. I recently planted some shrubs to provide some shade to my unit during the hotter days, but I have an extra capacitor just in case the other fails.Get yourself an extra Contractor as well just in case.

Quick ship, easy install, works great.
This capacitor was delivered quickly, installed in minutes, and works as it should. If your AC outdoor unit is making a bunch of noise when starting up (or running), make this easy and inexpensive repair/maintenance change. Helps unit start better and run more efficiently.
