Sierra Designs High Side 1 Footprint

Picked one up on Amazon. Used it on the Superior Hiking Trail for 2 nights. I had good weather and little rain, so I can't speak much to how it handles weather, but I suspect it would do very well. After watching Skurka's online video for setting up the tent and trying it once in my backyard, it was a snap on the trail. Quick and easy. I love the idea of setting up the fly first keeping everything else dry. The tent itself is a great weight - about 2.5 pounds. Using my trekking poles instead of tent poles is ideal. My cheap pair of Leki poles worked great.

Used it on the SHR this year as a full unit. The Mosquitoes were crazy so I’m very glad that I had the mesh portion of the tent. Also used only the outer tent on a section of the P Traverse. It goes up quick and it withstood a serious hail storm and hi wind with only 4 stakes and two lines. Very spacious. Would not take it back to the Sierras in a dry ish season as it’s overkill. However I will be using it extensively in CO next summer.

This is a fantastic 3 season tent! I took it the the Grand Canyon for four days. The ventilation was really good. Plenty of room inside and has two vestibules...

Great backpacking tent lite weight tons of room easy set up very happy with this purchase can't say enough good things about sierra designs. This is a must buy.

Had a chance to use this in March. Easy to set up, withstands wind very well. Very roomy and versatile. Very cost effective for the weight.
