First, I must brag a little about our beautiful long-haired cat...she is glamorous.But, ooohhhh...the mats! How can she sleep on those things?She prefers to "self-groom", but try as she might, she needs a little help.Brushing every day? Not happening.Scissors? A definite NO! A cat's skin is so thin and movable it's too easy to nick them.Electric shaver? Not with that buzzing sound!Groomer trip and sedation? Not at 13 years old...she's quite sensitive and cantankerous.Then I happened to see stylist Brad Mondo on YouTube thinning out a wig and it hit me..."hello beautiful, could this work?"And as you can see from the photos, it did!Here's how:The one-handed operation allows me to pet and soothe the Mistress of Mats and keep her semi-calm while I gently "comb slice" thru her plugs of fur.But look closely at the blade: the teeth of the razor sit forward of the blade, like the guides on electric clippers. Look closer: the teeth are CURVED upward to separate and lift the fur AWAY from kitty's skin. That's the secret to success. No other razor does this, and believe me, I've product tested them all.One more warning: I use this technique on her back, neck, sides and rump...NOT THE BELLY!!! (There are nipples that can be caught in the teeth, so please do not even attempt it.)My little fur ball tolerates this method reasonably well for a Senior Cat, with very little hatred afterward. It really feels like she's just being petted...if you work quickly. A cat treat for good behaviour goes a long way, too. I hope this helps any cat owners with long-haired older cats that don't travel well and cannot handle sedation.If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share.

I was VERY pleased with the product! My husband used this to cut my hair! It was very easy to use! We watched some YouTube videos to see how to use it. It thins the hair as you razor it. It works great!Plus you get all the extra blades. The price can’t be beat‼️ It took me a while to take that step but I’m sure glad I did! I highly recommend it.

Beautiful color! Easy to hold! Blades weren’t the sharpest but I just replaced with my own so no big deal. Great value!

The razor keeps falling off the handle I can’t seem to get it to stay together I actually cut my hands because it is pretty sharp but it won’t stay on

This razor has a good weight to it. One reviewer stated that the tang was on the wrong side, but mine was correct. I love the way it looks, and it matches my set of shears (purchased from another seller here on Amazon) perfectly. It takes Feather brand refills, which are readily available here also. I found that the blades are wonderfully sharp. The rainbow finish really sets this item apart!

I wanted to post this review as I purchased this hair razor as I wanted to feather my hair, both to add some layered style, & to thin my hair out, but still keeping its length, & I have to say that THIS hair razor is ☆SUPERB☆👌 Seriously, - its easy to handle, the blade is sharp & cuts the hair easily, without any snagging, & its so easy to use, if you are wanting to feather your hair or thin it out. I would deffo highly recommend.This comes with a box of 10 new replacement blades, so for the fantastic quality, & the blades, this is deffo value for £, & is most deffo worth its price.The blade comes with a clear plastic removable protector, which simply slides onto the head, covering the blade, & is good fitting. The 10 replacement blades arrive in a small box, but please do remember to keep this out of reach of children 😉.My hair looks lush & feels lighter, & it was surprising just how thick my hair actually was, - seeing just how much hair I'd actually taken off by the end! I am VERY happy with both my purchase of this, & of its results too.
