Line with built in gauge is a game changer
I recently had an issue with a leaking RV propane hose, and I decided to replace it with the 2-pack RV Propane Hoses with a Gauge, 18-inch stainless Steel Braided Camper Tank Hose. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, and here's why:First and foremost, the stainless steel braided design of these hoses exudes durability and quality. I could immediately feel the sturdiness when handling them. The construction inspires confidence, making me believe that they are built to last, which is crucial for any RV owner. The inclusion of the gauge is a game-changer. It provides a level of convenience that I didn't realize I was missing. Now, I can easily monitor the propane levels and plan my refills accordingly, ensuring I never run out unexpectedly. It adds an extra layer of safety and peace of mind to my RV adventures.Installation was a breeze. The hoses fit perfectly, and the stainless steel braided design adds a level of flexibility that makes connecting and disconnecting hassle-free. I haven't experienced any leaks since replacing the old hose, and the gauge has been consistently accurate.

The quility was pretty good. Gauges worked fine. I wiggled the fittings and used soapy water and verified no leaks.

Leaky.
I gave this product 4 stars, simply because I had leaks at the fittings that go into the regulator. I suspect the problem is caused by bad engineering in the male pipe fittings on the end of the hoses. I tried tightening the hoses, to no avail. I removed the fittings and wound about three turns of the pipe seal tape around the fittings and reinstalled them. I did not overtighten them, and the leaks disappeared. For now. The installation is easy and the gauges appear to read ok as far as I can tell. Once my bottles get down to empty, I will review again. The thing is, with a tapered pipe thread, as these fittings have, you should not need thread sealing tape. The whole idea behind the tapered thread is that as you wind the fitting in, the seal becomes tighter. Poor product design and quality control is the culprit here. I would recommend, just winding three turns of tape onto the fitting, starting at the bottom, not the top of the threads, and don’t overtighten it. Tightening the fitting will not prevent leaks. The other option I might try, if this is not unsuccessful, is to remove the thread seal tape and try installing the fittings either without the tape, or using loctite or some other thread locking compound that will set up and harden.

New gauges - no leaks
I purchased and installed these to upgrade and replace the rubber hoses that came with my camper. I did also purchase a propane leak detector and have no leaks. The gauges work and I’m happy with the product.
