It works great. Can easily pick up deflector plate to add wood for smoking without using gloves and trying to balance the plate.

I have no idea how you would add coal without this. A MUST have especially when slow smoking!

This was gift for my husband and his precious Green Egg. It was a great value for money, especially because the brand name ones are super expensive. Easy to clean and my husband was happy.

This was purchased for use with a small green egg grill. Quality made. The description states "fits for small medium large big size green egg heat deflector." Although it would be great for carrying a green egg conveggtor/bbq plate setter it is too large for use with our small green egg grill. The lifter is a bit too large for slipping in and out of the small green egg we have. If the bottom section were a bit shorter it would likely be usable with our small green egg grill. The only reason this is being given four stars instead of five is because we simply can not use it to place the conveggtor/bbq setter inside the green egg or to remove it.
