First off, don’t throw away the instructions- they are on the inside of the paper wrap. If you have a lower wattage microwave, you may need to start out adding a little extra time to figure out exactly how long it takes for your microwave. Either way, don’t leave it- listen for the kernels popping. I end up with a few (not too many) kernels that don’t pop, but it otherwise turns out perfect. The bowl will be hot, but put it on a plate, tray, or trivet and it works fine to eat straight out of it. I am very happy with this. I love popcorn, and this is so much better - healthier and better tasting- than the pre-packaged microwave in the bag stuff. One thing I like about this model is that it has the butter tray in the top so that you can melt butter while popping.

Best $13 I ever spent. Read instructions and followed them. My microwave took ~5mins (very old microwave) *without* opening and closing it, to check on my popcorn. Just listen to the pops. Listening for pops to slow down and stopped microwave when I hadn’t heard any pops for 30seconds. Came out perfect. Buy this product when on sale and you won’t have any regrets. Good quality materials too 😊 I’m considering getting this as a Xmas present for family and friends!

My old electric popper finally died and I looked at various other alternatives. This one caught my eye. I used it and it was PERFECT!!!! No trouble. Not a burnt kernel. Just the right amount for myself and my 3 dogs. Easy to clean. Easy to store. No guessing how many kernels to use as you use the top as a measuring device. I highly recommend it. Much better than the clunky old messy electric models. Oh! And the popcorn was perfect too.
