This helps save a lot of counterspace, and the knives can be arranged for easier access. The biggest advantage, which is also a big disadvantage, is that this can be cut to size to fit your particular drawer. The big negative is that you need a table saw, or access to one, for installation. That has been the biggest rate limiting step for me. I finally found a friend who had the necessary tool to cut this to fit my drawer.Certain knives do not sit perfectly, as the handle area is flat, as opposed to raised with a taper. It is more of an annoyance for someone who is Obsessive Compulsive but it works out just fine for us. It makes our drawer more of a dedicated custom drawer for knives, now. There is enough space for a full set of kitchen knives and steak knives in our household.

Love this knife block insert. We originally didn't think it was going to work because we had to cut so much off but even 2/3rds holds so many knives. We had our friend cut it down using his table saw and we gave him the 1/3rd we didn't need which fit perfectly in his drawer. With the remaining 12 slots, it holds all the knives we'd ever need and keeps them sharp and separated. Way better than having them clanging around in a drawer. And we still have lots of room leftover for steels and sharpeners. The best thing about this is that it removes the need for a knife block which get greasy and take up valuable counter real estate. We get compliments on this all the time and really is key to a well organized kitchen. The most used tool in a kitchen is the chef's knife so keeping it sharp and well stored is going to pay you back in many years of excellent performance.

Honestly the second best purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon! It is exactly as described, large, super sturdy and beautifully matches my drawer! The dimensions of my drawer was the opposite width and length of the organizer but I just put it in sideways. I also use the extra block of wood that came with it to raise my knives’ handles and had to go to Home Depot to get a another similar piece because the one block wasn’t thick enough for some of my knives’ handle. The extra piece was $1.27 so I didn’t mind. All in all I love it. A perfect home chef accessory!

Used in our church’s kitchen to solve the problem of knives just thrown in drawer. Another member trimmed a bit and rounded two corners so the holder fit the drawer perfectly and a variety of knives fit great.

I absolutely love this knife drawer organizer! It fit my drawer great! I have large drawers so check the dimensions to see if it will fit yours. It gives you instructions to cut the knife organizer to fit your drawer if it's too big. The only thing I wished this product came with is some sort of stopper. Since my drawers are large, if I left this in there without a stopper it would slide around my drawer. I just used a tiny nail to hold it in place, easy fix. I highly recommend this if you want your knives in a drawer and you want your knives to be easily accessible! This looks custom and it is very stylish - you'll be the envy of all your friends with this knife organizer!

To size this insert to my drawer I cut it down - no problem, it was easy to cut and there were no problems. The wood is good quality and I like the layout of the drawer.The only reason the review is 4 and not 5 stars is that I have a couple of very large (long and heavy knives) and I needed to add a little stabilizing piece of wood (I was able to use part of what I cut off from sizing the insert down). I put a shorter secondary piece of wood next to the divider section (btw the knife compartment and the sharpening compartment in the photo) so that my heavy handled knives rest on that lower piece without moving around. If you have long knives I think this is a necessity - otherwise the handles sink down and try to pop the blade out of the track and upwards (like a seesaw).Overall I am very happy with the insert.

I use this daily. It really cleaned up my knife drawer. Now it's safe to put a hand in.
