Sometimes great sometimes not
I order these peanuts all the time because I can’t find any better but it’s really hit and miss with each can. There’s so much variation in salt content and peanut quality. So much better than others though.

Tasteless, small peanuts, not even well salted. Don't buy!
We bought Virginia Diner peanuts cause they were great, and thought we'd try this brand. Opened it up, there was no peanut flavor. The thing (received in 4/24) expires in 11/24, so I know it's not that fresh. It's pretty stale, the sizes of peanuts range from small to large, with only less than 5% of the nuts comparable in size to Virginia Diner's peanuts. This is totally trash, you can get better non-virginia variety peanuts at CVS. They should totally stop conning people. I had about 5-6 peanuts, and after writing this, I've decided to trash the whole can It's a waste of my money and stomach.

Perfect crunch, great flavor
This is my 2nd can of the generously salted Virginia peanuts from The Peanut Store and both cans have been excellent. The salt content is much better than the lightly salted variety and it suits my taste perfectly. I tried many different brands after the quality of the Publix Virginia peanuts that I used to buy regularly started to diminish, and finally found something that beats all of them hands down. I wish I'd known about these earlier.Update 6/2024: They changed the recipe recently and they are now no different than the Publix Virginia peanuts that cost half as much. I canceled my subscription.

Not as good as I expected from the Peanut Shop
I have consumed many Peanut Shop peanuts in the past 20 years. these were my first disappointment. As another reviewer said the flavor was off, they are overcooked in my opinion. I liked the extra salt, and the freshness was good. they were not extra large (but not planters small), and no blistering., but still good crunch. I tried many brands over the years, Peanut Shop was always the best or near best. not this batch. I compared them to a can of Kirkland (Costco labeled) Virginia peanuts. the Kirkland was better, blistered and not overcooked. see pictures Kirkland has blisters, not Peanut shop.... Not up to their internal standards.picture, Kirkland is the lighter colored blistered peanuts

Better oil than most. Good taste. Large nut.
Love the fact they only used peanut oil. Most add vegetable or canola oil, which are quite inflammatory for the body.Large peanuts, good taste.

Not as expected
I love this manufacturers Virginia Peanuts. Typically large, crunchy, fresh and correct amount of salt. This batch was small peanuts, tasted stale, remind me of store brand cocktail peanuts, and barely any salt (even though say extra salt) - I will buy the tan color can but never this type unless corrected by manufacturer (Amazon won’t even credit my purchase which is another issue of the new less customer centric Amazon machine)
