Vanguard: Heroes Reborn: A Superhero Adventure Paperback – Import, 26 November 2016

A satisfying conclusion to a superhero epic that was full of thrills, chills and action! The Vanguard series is certainly one I'll be revisiting again

I read all five books in a short period of time. I enjoyed the whole series. There are plenty of characters. The Vanguard are the main characters. They are the defenders of the world. Not everyone wants them agreeing to be either. This book also involves time travel which is never easy to write. Percival manages to make it realistic. Then we have an alien invasion from the Kotharian’s. Cereberus is a UN sponsored organization founded to keep an eye on the specials. The Hellhounds is another group antagonistic to Vanguard. There is Exempler who founded literally an island of specials avoiding persecution. This series had it all. Ther is even a Cold War Frankenstein. All I can say is this is well paced. Every character is pretty much fleshed out. There are multiple plots ad sub plots. Percival manages to not only balance this all out but tie it all together in the end.Percival said he was inspired by the Sentinels. I thought Vanguard was better. I enjoyed the Sentinels as well. Sorry to hear that this could be the last book in the series. I would love to read more. I have read well over a hundred superhero novels and I rate this as one of the best. Overall I give the entire five book run five stars. If you liked Sentinels, Super-Powered’s, Confessions of a D List Supervillan you will like this.

At first I wonder why this series isn't selling better. With all the tv shows like Jupiter's Legacy, The Boys, Utopia, etc this series fits right in. Then the problem I think its choppiest, too fast moving, is great for comics with illustrations but for a novel, not enough meat. You don't get time to know the characters, or figure out whats going on. People change sides almost every chapter. Still being a comic and pulp reader I enjoyed it. Some many storylines left to be written but I don't think they will every be written. (Get the Luther Cross series by Percvial Constantine, that series is great and well written.)

More great pulp action from Perry Constantine. This book provides a apparent conclusion to the series and yet leaves enough open ends that Perry could easily return to this world at a later date. While not every little thing has been resolved--it does address many of the major questions raised in the earlier volumes. For any waiting for the complete story--Wait no longer! You can read the entire series now and won't be left hanging.Great book, great series. Highest recommendation.

Definitely worth the read and the money. I am waiting for the follow-ups and many other stories from this author.
