I used to have anxiety attacks when I discovered I didn't have enough room temperature butter to spread on my morning warm toast. I'd then have to endure the devastating cold butter struggle we all know too well. When this happened my whole day was ruined. I'd be on a short fuse. I'd often explode, destroying anything or anybody who crossed my path. Then, I received this butter spreader as a gift. At the time, I didn't realize the significant role it would play in preserving my mental health. Life was good, it was several months before somebody didn't put more butter in the butter dish. But, that dark day did arrive and I was enraged! I yelled and screamed and broke things. But, like a religious vision, I remembered I had been gifted a butter spreader. The sun rose and shined through the window and a rainbow was visible in the distance. I had redemption! This spreader glided effortlessly across the cold hard butter brick creating a thin slice that spread nicely across the toast. Although the "butter issue" still, occasionally, occurs, I have the tools to deal with and manage it in an adult and responsible manner. Life has been so much better since I received this life changing piece of heaven.

It just doesn’t spread butter. The butter does not go through the holes. I tried the butter at several stages of temperature. Good concept but doesn’t work.

I have a set of Disney butter knives, just the run of the mill butter knives. This product caught my attention with it's look and price, so I decided to give it a try. I generally use butter knives with cream cheese and spreading it on toasted bagels. It wasn't easy, as the cream cheese was escaping through the holes. I went back to the regular butter knives. That said, maybe I should try using it with butter.

I was looking forward to receiving this butter spreader. This item was sturdy & seemed well made. However it did not shave the butter the way it described. Maybe if the holes were a bit larger. Did not work well at all.

Very sturdy butter knife. I really do like this knife and it is well built. The only thing is I wish it had more holes to get more butter for one swipe. It does a good job when I spread on my bread or toast.
