Mortal Curse: Steamy Shifter Romance (Shadow Shifters Book 1)

The world Tia Didmon has built in this series of books is definitely intriguing. There are all different kinds of creatures and humans are at the bottom of the food chain for the bad guys. We got a little backstory with how the shifters evolved into shadow shifters. I would like to see where Tia Didmon takes this world in further books in this series.

The storyline is superb! It involves a lot of different shifters, that I have never read about.The two main characters catch your attention right away, and carries you through!

This book has an interesting story line. However it didn't really grasp my attention. Being the first book in a series it is supposed to reach out, grasp your undivided attention and leave you begging for more. This book did not do that for me at all.I liked the main characters well enough. Dannicka has a heartbreaking back story. Her rough childhood has left her angry. She feels that she has to constantly be in control, is a smart mouth and has a temper. While having no previous knowledge of the supernatural, she is now thrust into a warRaine has been a Shadow Wold for a century. He is frustrated with Raines lack of ability to close her mouth when he is trying to save her.While I am not opposed to having sex scenes in a book, it seemed half of the book was sex scenes. They were also the only part of the book that is descriptive enough to try to picture what is going on. You can't really picture any of the other characters or any of the places in the book.Unfortunately, I will not be continuing the series

There was an interesting story line, but I could not really connect with Dannika. She totally refuses to listen to advice, thinks she can just run off, and causes problems wherever she goes. The villain is intriguing, I would like to know what he wants. I'm just not sure I really want to put up with Dannika to find out.

A normal trouble girl working at the shelter when a strange man came in she didn't see him until one regular was throwing a fit that guy stolen his jello. Dannika and her boss morgo went to break up.Dannika noticed the strange man eye were flaming red which scared her he told her he been looking for her which scared her more she hollered for morgo said guy was harzling her morgo made man leave. After that panic and scary dannika felt sick and ask to leave early. Morgo let her go but before she did morgo gave her food for homeless guy didn't come in today as he live in his tent on dannika way home. Dannika found homeless man dead as turn to grab her phone to call the police she was attacked by same man that was at the shelter.Great storyline a real pages turner keeps you involved and leaves you hanging.

This book if you took out alot of the sex scence would be great for YA. That being said this book has action, mystery, and sass right from the start. Dannika has had a rough life and is finally on trake. Then a scence happens at work and her life changes forever. What will she do? Can Raine help her or will Maddock kill her. Who is this person talking in her head? Can the Clans come together?.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A powerful and engrossing story. Well written and thought out characters and story line. I loved the words and the mixed phrases of different eras. And the sometimes tongue in cheek thoughts.”and her forecast called for Raine.”All the boxes checked for a paranormal, erotic romance. A snarky, outspoken young woman but one with a backstory. A warrior protector, mate and lover. When they finally realize the destiny of their being together, the descriptions are wonderful.I’ll definitely get the following books in this series and I would suggest you do the same.

Loved the two main characters, disliked the main wolf alpha. Liked the bear and cougar though. Really disliked the demons!

This story had a lot going on which made it quite exciting to read. The characters were varied and interesting - My favourite was Dannika who was feisty and brave, never afraid to speak her mind. I liked the chemistry between Dannika and Raine and there were several steamy encounters in the book. It was a bit different in that three different shifter clans (wolves, bears and cougars) joined together to fight a common enemy and work out the ways in which Dannika was special.I found some parts too descriptive and confusing. This may be partly because I haven't come across these complicated paranormal combinations of beings before. I dropped a star because it wasn't made clear enough that this was not a standalone but the story continued in the next book.

What a thrilling cliff hanger, who is this killian and why does he want her. The storyline was superb and I was hooked. Characters were great also

Can't wait to read the full series just to find out who Dannika really is, and that her and Raine triumph together

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I look forward to reading the next one. I highly recommend this book .
