Dr. Simpson did a great job at making this work concise and easy to comprehend and as a result it really did help deepen understanding when reading Kierkegaard’s works.This cultural and biographical information about Kierkegaard was also really beneficial and a welcomed addition and helped to make this work a must have if you are interested in or reading any of Kierkegaard’s works.

By far the best summary of Kierkegaard's practical theology. Highly recommended for all Christians and seekers of all walks of life. This is also a good text for those looking for a commentary that brings illumination to Kierkegaard's often difficult prose.

A good and readably overview of Kierkegaard's thought world based on the supposition that when Kierkegaard says that his work basically is an exploration of how to become a Christian, he actually means what he says.
