As always am sad to come to the end...
I am an avid reader of Britsh women's lives during WWII. But Annie Groves is perhaps my favorite! Her character's are so believable and fleshed out I get seriously drawn into their lives. And consequently longing for their stories not to end! So glad there are a lot off stories.

Good Read on Life in Liverpool during WWII
This book started a little slow,, but as I became acquainted with her characters, and the story developed I enjoyed it even more. It is not very detailed, but a nice light book, easy reading.

be warned its the first in a series of four books which will have you totally captivated from the start follows a family during the war - they obviously know liverpool as it has some shops and sites and they bring you right back to what it must have been like for families during the war and what they had to deal with... had me hooked from the start the whole series totally recommend it for holiday read

Enjoyable reading
This describes the horrors of war during WWII. I learned the German bombers killed so many in the cities. I love how everyone had to do their fair share for the war effort.

A good read
I have read all of Annie groves books, the other series about the 2nd world war were brilliant but I could tell that the last one wasn't written by her and although others since and this one is good, it just isn't quite the same depth to it. I can't remember who has taken over but still using the same name.

Great read
It’s one that you can’t put down although in some parts it seemed to repeat what you already knew but still an enjoyable read

Goodnight Sweetheart
I found this book heavy going at first, nothing seemed to be happening for a good part of it. I feel a lot of time was lost and went on and on about the same two people, June and Molly but eventually the book opened up into the story and I must admit I just had to see it through. Not the best book I have read by Annie Groves but readable none the less.

Disappointed
Very disappointed in this as it is the book Goodnight Sweetheart with a new title. Don’t think this should be allowed.
