AUTOKAY Xenon Ballast HID Headlight Igniter Control for 2006-08 BMW 3-series E90 E91

This worked, my headlight went out on my 07 bmw 3 seriesBut the color of the headlight now looks more yellowish, compared to the oem ballast and oem bulb which are a blue tone to it.

These were an easy direct replacement on my 2007 335XI. So far so good but the real test is the test of time. I will update if they fail prematurely. On my car the OEM ballasts lasted 13 years with both failing within 6 months of each other. Those cost about 10 times the price of these so if I get 3 years out of them it was worth it.

This is a direct replacement and performs exactly like the original.Keep I mind you have to remove the tire, whew cowling, and detach half the bumper to access the ballast/headlight. It is not possible to install the ballast without removing the headlight. Takes a decent amount of time.Pro tip: hold on tight to tools in the engine bay and set the far away, don’t set them on top of anything in the engine bay. They will fall down and get stuck on the plastic underbody guard. It is super dirty and hard to access. Do whatever you need to do to not drop any thing. Use magnetic sockets and bits. You won’t regret it.

Easy to install they have been working good

Awesome price considering an OE ballast is ~ $500; only problem I have noticed is that there is a slight flicker from the bulb but it's only noticeable if you are stopped and focusing on the beam.

I purchased this before 3 year ago. I purchased againt because my told my headlight went out. I didnt check my headlight I just order the part. When i went to install it. I found she disconnect the ballast. I end up with extra ballast. I dont like to return stuff so I just keep as a spare.

Ballast burned out in 2 months :(
