Eye opener
Some of the points covered in the book were insightful. Didn't realize we are enslaved subtly in so many ways. Must read.

Amazing *_*
I have chosen to highlight this particular quote from the book because of its authenticity. Standing on the present world, these lines are so very authentic.Comfortable Slaves is a book written by a life coach. A Life coach is a person who guides you towards success and growth. Now the question is, ‘Who are comfortable slaves?’ To that the author says, “Because they are ‘comfortable’ being ‘slaves’, sometimes they forget that they are stuck inside a jail where they drill you and make you do what they think you should do, tirelessly for hours in the day.”Life is a diverse thing. No one can possibly have the same life like other. You can’t get away by copying, by imitating. “You are not designed to live life like this. Just because your friends and peers live the same life doesn’t mean that you will have to live the same.” Life is a free flowing verse with uniqueness. There is no hard and fast rules to live it. Live like you Dream! The book is a wonderful collection of thoughts. The author articulated it in an excellent way. I loved reading it thoroughly. The language is very easy to understand and is suitable for all kind of readers. To understand author’s words, one must have a clear mind and perception. That all it takes. It felt as if the author is conversing with me. The problems stated are real life ones and ones that are truly relatable. So does the solution. If you are willing to bring the positive change, it is not that hard to listen.Within 44 pages, Manoj did an excellent job of teaching. A highly educative read and is definitely recommended. Bdw, Manoj……..WRITE IT!

An insightful read!
"Slavery has ancient roots in history and still exists today in many different forms. Slavery was never abolished, It has only evolved into a new form."--Like me, you are also wondering, "Who are comfortable slaves?"The author, Manoj Chenthamarakshan, has an answer for that;"The one who knows that they are stuck in life, who doesn't like how things are working out in the workspace yet still hides their emotions and acts as if everything is going well."In his book, he has dedicated four sections explaining how knowingly or unknowingly we have fallen into this vicious trap of slavery. In such a way, the social system is created that they don't give us much scope to understand this brutal truth.Well, this book will help you to look into those fine lines. You have missed/ignored to date.I love how the author has used the four pillars of today's society, education, work, religion, and consumerism, to illustrate his points. However, I didn't come across anything new (except the term 'Comfortable Slave') in the book. There are plenty of books out there which has written the same thing (and might be in a more articulate way!), which disappoints me!After that impressive title, I was hoping for a little more than this book possessed. Nevertheless, it was a satisfying read. It is well-structured, short, and subtle.I would wrap up by quoting my favourite line from this book."Don't question to oppose but question to understand. It is a common trend to question nowadays just to oppose and spread hatred. Don't fall under the category of hatred, Fall under the category of hunger to understand."

Crisp and Informative!
"I didn't know I was a slave until I found out I couldn't do the things I wanted."-- Frederick DouglassShort and to the point. As the title of the book suggests, it has been shown who comfortable slaves are, why we tend to be comfortable in those situations, and how we can break the chain. The book is divided into four parts:1. Education2. Career3. Religion4. ConsumerismThe content is more of a wake-up call. Multiple examples are used that make the content relatable and realistic. There is the use of some very powerful quotes throughout. This book was developed with the sole purpose of assisting readers in bursting their own personal bubbles, realising their potential, and living life on their own terms. The author has done a fantastic job in achieving this goal. I feel the book needs proofreading, but other than that it was a quick and informative read. Can easily be read in one sitting.

Great book for beginners
The first thing which attracted me the most is the choice of the title. This is a short and easy read which hits you where it hurts the most. Talks about different areas of our lives where we are Comfortable being Slaves yet we do nothing to change it. We expect greater things in life yet we also like status quo.The book has been segmented into four dimensions: Education, Career, Religion and Consumerism.Key takeaways:✅ Self-awareness is most critical. Unless you do that you’d continue to be a slave without even realising.✅ The beliefs and biases which we hold on to also contribute to a major extent in us being comfortable slaves.✅ Many times we don’t even realise and we get trapped into slavery. Eventually some of us even tend to like it but that doesn’t lead us to where we want to go.“The worst thing about slavery is that the slaves eventually get to like it.” - AristotleThings I liked: Nothing is over-stretched in this book. Everything is to-the-point and concise. It makes you ponder and reflect over the decisions that we take in our daily lives.Could've been better: I didn't get to read anything new which I haven't already read in other self help books. At some points, it felt like I am reading a blog and not a book. It's a great book for beginners and readers who like short and easy reads.
