Amerihome BS1189SET Height Adjustable Bar Stool Set, 2-Piece

I picked these for my new home. We have a nicely finshed basement with a beautiful bar and I didn't have any stools for it. I ordered two of these which is 4 stools. They took a while to get here. About 10 days. No complaint there. The boxes were quite sturdy and the stools were in perfect condition when I opened them. The instructions are very simple. I had all four of these built and in front of the bar in 25 minutes while I watched TV. They look great. That said, I have had them all of two days. I am 6'1" and about 240 pounds. My wife is 5'4" and weaigh about 110 wet. I have them set at their highest point for the bar. When I sit on one, it does drop a bit but I am still at a comfortable level at the bar and they stay in place when I swivel When she sits on one, it barely moves but still stays put when she swivels. They are not leather but pretty nice vinyl. They are comfortable for both of us. The box kinda smelled like a new car when i opened it. There is no odor form the chairs after positioning them. These were very inexpensive as bar stools go, so my expectations were easily met. I decided on these based on most of the other reviews. There are some bad reviews but not many and my experience does not mirror any of the complaints I read. I will say I am writing this only two days after putting them together. We host holidays so I will update you after Christmas.Update 1/15/2015Well we hosted Thanksgiving for 14 and Christmas for 16 and the bar stools got a lot of use at each holiday as treats and finger food were up and down the bar. And that's where the Christmas punch was as well. They still work and look great. My somewhat critical nephew complained that the base of the stool was not well weighted. He can be a little clumsy. But everyone else loved the stools and complimented how comfortable they were. After the heavy use I remain happy with the purchase. So my rating and satisfaction remain unchanged. I would recommend these.

What you see in the picture is what you get. They're pretty cool looking chairs.Pros: They look very good. The seat swivels. Adjustable height. What you see in the picture is basically what you get.Cons: Adjusting the height is kind of difficult...you have to physically push down on the seat w/ your body weight while holding the adjustment lever.Also, they seem a little unstable on carpet. But I'm guessing that would be a problem w/ most of the other, similar type of pub/bar chairs that have a similar base.The seat IS a little small. It doesn't look small but I'm a pretty thin-athletic built guy(5'9) and my butt takes up the entire seat.Like a few people have noted already...they do tend to drop 2 or 3 inches when you sit down on them. Again, this appears to be an issue for almost all the chairs that have a similar type of base.But overall I like them for the price Amazon has on a pair.Easy to put together and didn't come damaged.They are very stylish and good enough for having a drink or two or a quick bite to eat.If you're looking for something you can sit in for long periods of time...you're probably going to have to spend a few extra bucks on something made for that.I'd buy them again.

These barstools are really nice. I am a 175 pound woman and my butt is too big to fit comfortably on them. I am not small but not huge by any means, I wear size 16 pants. I really bought them so my grandkids could sit at the counter so they're fine. My grandkids are 8 and 11 and they fit perfect if that gives you an idea of the size. I do want to mention that I read reviews by "large" men saying they were great, I find that hard to believe. The rounded arms coming out from the seat takes away seat space. So, outside of the seat being a little small they look great and seem to be good quality. It took 5 minutes to assemble and they arrived quickly. Totally worth the price.

It looks nice and was easy to put together!! Perfect for my little girls to eat breakfast at in morning! But when my husband sits on it (he is 200 lbs) it does not feel very sturdy!! So for the money if is a decent product!!

well, got it for the kids.I would not recommend if you’re an adult, but for the price they make nice stools for small butts. The issue is the padding, or lack thereof. Also, the lateral bar was loose on both stools. Poor construction. I am betting they will not last a year, shall see.
