As good as it gets
This is a travel size version. The pieces are about the size of your finger tips. The magnets are strong (as you can see in my photo where I held the board upside down and they are still sticking). Each color is put in a nice plastic round container for storage inside the game board which has a lock to keep it closed. I appreciate both aspects as I’ve received many games with just the game pieces thrown into the box and easily fall out/get lost.I would definitely recommend this for yourself, as a gift or for travel. It was also very well priced.

Good for the price
182 white and 183 black stones (3 missing magnets, found 2). Latch release popped off the first day (it clips onto 2 pegs, so I was able to snap it back on). Stone container lids are friction caps without latches or clips. Board is a little wobbly on flat surfaces.I bought the set mainly for tsumego puzzles and it works well for that purpose.

Decent board, terrible stone jar
The board is a nice size. The magnets in the "stones" are strong enough to stay on the board as long as it's not tossed around, but the plastic containers they come in will not stay closed once opened and you'll need a rubber band or tape so you don't lose your stones, making it not fantastic for travel.

A little small
The pieces are a little small and the quality is not too good.

Better made than I expected
This is a great set, not just for travel, but for play in general. The pieces are plastic, not stone, but they adhere well to the board, and they are flattened on the bottom, which allows for that satisfying half-round snap when you put them down. The board is wood grained without being obnoxious about it.There is a sturdy latch holding the case closed, and legs underneath/inside for stability. There is no catch holding the bowls closed, but the shape of the case mostly does that (I might add a rubberband in a high impact environment).About the only thing I would change here is to put a small slider or clip inside to hold the hinges open. The little legs do help with stability, but sometimes the surfaces you find when you travel aren't terribly flat.4.9 stars.
